Tuesday December 4, 2018 - Endebess MP, Robert Pukose, has sensationally claimed that Cherangany MP, Joshua Kutuny, and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, are the real maize cartels and that is why they clashed on Citizen TV last week.

Kutuny and Murkomen clashed over the controversial maize scandal where the former linked Deputy President William Ruto to the saga at NCPB.

Speaking on Sunday, Pukose said Kutuny is linking Ruto to the maize scam to conceal the truth. 

He also said Murkomen was defending Ruto because he knew that he is the real maize cartel.

“My friend Kutuny and Murkomen have been purchasing maize here in Matisi through some individuals. Let them not lie to us because they are part of the cartels,” Pukose said.

Early this year, the National Cereals and Produce Board paid Sh1.9 billion to unscrupulous traders who supplied maize to depots at the expense of farmers.

The traders included Murkomen and Kutuny.

Tuesday December 4, 2018- Renowned Economist and NASA strategist, David Ndii, has restated his earlier stand about Deputy President William Ruto and the 2022 Presidency saying it has not changed.

In a post online, Ndii indicated that he will dispose off his Ksh250M property if Ruto wins the Presidency in the next election.

He noted that he will leave Kenya and go into exile in the event Ruto bagged the Presidency because it would be untenable to live in Kenya anymore with the ‘father of corruption’ as President.

"I am on record on that.”

“I will leave the country.”

“If you can spare $2.5m (Ksh250 million), I’ll sell you a very good property," Ndii responded to a Kenyan by the name Sam Wakhakha.

Another netizen by the name Paul Njihia questioned Ndii why he was planning to abandon his motherland at the hour of need and whether he feared for his life.

In response, Ndii quipped; "I am a Kikuyu and an African.”

“Kenya is a historical accident.”

Taking to Instagram to celebrate her achievement, the mother one wrote:

“The joy in my heart is beyond words. God thank you for the grace you have given me so far. I graduated today from Harvest Global Church bible training school.

Tuesday December 4, 2018 - Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has bowed to pressure and lifted the ban on matatu from accessing the Central Business District.

The Governor suspended the ban due to overwhelming public outcry.

While suspending the ban, Sonko said he was deeply concerned by what people went through yesterday as a result of the ban.

“I have noted with deep concern the plight of Nairobi residents as a result of the ban, and hereby announce that the full implementation of this directive has been suspended with immediate effect,” said Sonko.

But before suspending the ban, Sonko allegedly called Kiambu Senator, Kimani Wamatangi, last night over the same.

Wamatangi confirmed today during an interview that he indeed had a chat with the Governor over the ban.

He revealed that Sonko called him the previous night confirming that the ban would be lifted pending further consultations.

"He (Sonko) did call me last night and he confirmed that, indeed, he was lifting the ban for further consultations with stakeholders to be held," he said.

Tuesday December 4, 2018 - Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) Managing Director, Joe Sang, has resigned today as the company’s CEO citing personal reasons.

Sang’s resignation comes at a time the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), George Kinoti, has camped at KPC headquarters in Industrial Area investigating the loss of 21 million litres of fuel worth over Sh 2.1 billion that cannot be accounted for by the KPC.

A statement issued by the Kenya Pipeline’s board indicated that it received and accepted a letter from Sang who simply said he would not be seeking a second term as MD due to personal reasons.

“The board acknowledged the various contributions made by Joe Sang during his tenure and welcomed his assurance of full cooperation during the transition," read part of the statement.

The board further noted that it held a meeting and resolved to invite forensic experts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of millions of litres of fuel.

"The Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) through their joint company, Supplycor Kenya Limited, to conduct a forensic audit of stock positions which should be completed by December 31, 2018," the statement said.

Tuesday December 4, 2018- Nairobi Senator, Johnson Sakaja, launched 100 buses today morning to enable Nairobians commute from the various designated terminals to the Central Business District.

This follows the ban on matatus from accessing the CBD which has since been suspended by Governor Mike Sonko over the suffering of commuters as a result of the ban.

In a statement on his social media, Sakaja, who has openly expressed his opposition to the matatu CBD ban, said that the buses will be used to help those who were physically challenged to walk long distances.

"Watu wangu wa Nairobi leo kuanzia saa mbili asubuhi wamama wajawazito wote, wazee, walemavu na watoto nimetoa basi mia moja (100) kuwapeleka kutoka muthurwa na fig tree mpaka town ndani. 

(From today I have launched 100 buses to serve all pregnant women, the elderly, the lame and children to transport them from Muthurwa and Fig Tree to town)," he posted.

Sakaja vowed not let residents suffer, assuring them that the matter of the ban would be dealt with.

"Mambo lazima ifanywe kwa mpangilio sio hivi hivi. (Things must be done after well thought out, not by impulse),” he added.

Tuesday December 4, 2018 - Kenya Pipeline Company CEO, Joe Sang, resigned on Tuesday as company’s managing Director citing personal reasons.

Sang’s resignation came at a time the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) was investigating the loss of 21 million litres of fuel worth Sh 2.1 billion.

Though the culprits of the looting are yet to be identified, a source revealed that the fuel was stolen by KPC’s board led by Paul Ngumi who is the Chairman.

Tuesday December 4, 2018- Citizen TV anchor, Jacque Maribe, is back at Citizen after she was granted bail in the murder trial of Nairobi businesswoman Monica Kimani.

According to sources at Citizen TV, Maribe resumed work on Monday yesterday where she received a warm welcome from her colleagues.

Sources revealed that Maribe was in the newsroom perusing some scripts for the media house.

However, she will not be anchoring news as directed by High Court Judge, James Wakiaga, when he granted her bail application.

“The accused shall not read news, comment or participate in any interview directly or indirectly related to this case, 2 she shall not read news during the period this matter is fixed for hearing...” ruled Wakiaga.

"She will help in news production but she will not be on TV,” confirmed the source.
