Speaking yesterday, Mudavadi noted that despite Raila being the most influential politician in the country, his handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta has really made things easy for him.
According to the ANC leader, Raila did not need the truce for survival as he proved in the election where he managed millions of votes, but with the handshake, he is now unstoppable and will definitely become President in 2022.
“The handshake isn’t therefore what has thrust him to the centre.”
“Remember he was the NASA candidate last year and millions voted for us.”
“He is not short of supporters.”

Monday December 17, 2018 - The Jubilee Party which propelled President Uhuru Kenyatta to State House during last year’s election is now on its deathbed thanks to none other than former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
This was revealed by nominated Senator, Isaac Mwaura, who confessed that Uhuru’s party was now as good as dead going by the latest political events pitting the President and Raila Odinga.
Speaking during an interview early today, Mwaura, who is also a Jubilee Senator, claimed that the party is now suffocating under the union of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition chief, Raila Odinga, and that there is nothing they can do to salvage Jubilee Party, not even Deputy President William Ruto.
According to Mwaura, the March 9th handshake between Uhuru and Raila ended Jubilee and that Ruto was just holding onto an empty shell that will take him nowhere.
“Jubilee Party was like a tent with two pillars, this being the President and Ruto, but Raila has scuttled and destroyed the equation,” said the Senator.
