Thursday December 20, 2018- President Uhuru Kenyatta has written a circular urging all Cabinet Secretaries and principal secretaries to take a Christmas leave until January 7th.
In what is seen as a sign of firing them, Uhuru issued a memo for the first time since he took office six years ago.
Though State House blogger, Dennis Itumbi, has dismissed the memo, some political pundits like lawyer, Donald Kipkorir, have said the memo is an indication that the father of the nation is tired with corrupt and lazy CSs and PSs in his administration.
“The Night of the Long Knives is here .... President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent on compulsory leave all Ministers& PSes.... Christmas will be a stressful affair..... For the 1st time since independence, our President will be the Minister for all Ministries. Moto itawaka,”Kipkorir wrote.
However, Itumbi has dispelled the firing claims and said Uhuru issues such memos during Christmas holiday.
“Cabinet and Principal Secretaries have a circular yes. The Circular issued yesterday communicates to them that they can take leave from Friday December 21st 2018 to January 7th 2019. Such circulars are issued each year for the Christmas festive season. #SystemYaFacts,” Itumbi wrote on his Twitter page.

Thursday, December 20, 2018-A 70 year old Nigerian man identified as, Yakubu Chanji, tied the knot with a 15 year old girl in a wedding ceremony attended by family and friends.
According to reports, Mr Chanji, also known Nafsi-Nafsi, earned the name “Chanji” because of his frequent divorces and replacement of wives.
The old man always keeps four wives in his house and once he divorces one, he immediately picks a replacement.
“We call him Chanji because he regularly ‘changes’ wives. In my knowledge, he married at least 12 times, but other people say it could be up to 20 times.
“What we know is that he always keeps four wives in his house. Once he divorces one, or one of them dies, he immediately picks a replacement,” A neighbor of the old man said.

Thursday December 20, 2018-Leaders drawn from the Kalenjin community in the Rift Valley region will make a major political declaration in the run-up to the 2022 General Elections.
This was revealed by Baringo Governor Stanley Kiptis, who said the region will make clear on who between Deputy President William Ruto and Baringo Senator, Gideon Moi, is their preferred candidate in the 2022 Presidential candidate.
Speaking on Radio Citizen, Kiptis noted that the rivalry between Moi and Ruto was dividing the region further and that as a community; they will have to make a stand.
"Itakapokaribia 2022, sisi kama jamii ya Kalenjin tutaamua na kutangaza mipango yetu ya uchaguzi. (We will announce our plans and direction regarding the poll ahead of the 2022 elections)," Kiptis said.
