Tuesday January 8, 2019-President Uhuru Kenyatta is facing serious rebellion within his Jubilee Party to the point that MPs are now ready to send him home even before his term ends in 2022.

This follows his continued silence as his Deputy, William Ruto, is being rattled over his 2022 bid by people believed to be close to him.

Speaking at Parliament Buildings yesterday, Sirisia Member of Parliament (MP), John Waluke, revealed that more than 85% of MPs have already signed a petition seeking to dissolve Parliament.

He said the move was informed by the latest spate of attacks directed at Deputy President William Ruto by former Jubilee Party Chairman, David Murathe.

According to him, most MPs are of the opinion that the country goes back to the ballot for a fresh election since Murathe's sentiments made them believe the country was headed in a wrong direction.

Flanked by his nominated counterpart, Halima Mucheke, Waluke challenged the President to come clean on whose instructions Murathe was working under.

“We want to know who is this sending Murathe to speak nonsense every day.”

“As we speak, many Members of Parliament are tired with Murathe's speech...85% of us are busy signing the petition and we want this 12th Parliament dissolved so we can seek new mandate," stated Waluke.

Tuesday January 8, 2019-Former Jubilee Vice-Chairman David Murathe has declared total war with Deputy President William Ruto and is not leaving anything to chance as far as destroying the DP is concerned.

Barely two days after resigning as Jubilee Vice Chairman, Murathe, is now scheming a mass walkout of Jubilee members opposed to Ruto and what he represents.

The walkout will reportedly incorporate individuals who are against Ruto’s 2022 Presidential bid.

Murathe has vowed to teach Ruto a bitter lesson that he will never forget for the rest of his life.

According to him, Ruto will be lucky to become even an Opposition leader come 2022 because once he is done with him; he will regret ever knowing him.

"We are ready to form a new coalition and I can tell you for sure it will crush Ruto and his group.”

“I can tell him for free that he will be lucky to be an Opposition leader come 2022," Murathe said.

Tuesday January 8, 2019- Senate Minority Leader, James Orengo, has supported calls by former Jubilee Party Vice Chairman, David Murathe, who asked Deputy President William Ruto to resign with President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.

Speaking on Sunday during the burial of politician Okello Gonda in Ugunja constituency, Orengo said Ruto was automatically bound to cease from seeking the presidency in 2022 given that he has already served his two terms in office.

Orengo, who is also the Siaya Senator, asked Ruto to eat humble pie and retire with President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.

“I ask Ruto not to be deceived by selfish political interest but rather retire with Uhuru in 2022,” Orengo said.

Orengo spoke as Murathe continues to threaten that he will move to the Supreme Court to seek interpretation of the constitution on whether Ruto is allowed to vie for presidency in 2022.

He maintained that Ruto has served two terms as Deputy President and he should retire with the President in 2022.

Tuesday, January 8, 2019-President Uhuru Kenyatta has sparked the emotions of Kikuyus who turned up in large numbers to vote for him after he made a statement in Mombasa yesterday that has caused a heated debate.

Uhuru referred to Kikuyu leaders like Moses Kuria and their followers who have been complaining that he has developed  other areas and neglected  Central Kenya as “Washenzi”.

Do you remember this ardent Jubilee supporter who was captured on camera in a Jubilee rally during the heated campaigns holding a bread that represented full ownership of Uhuru Kenyatta’s Government?

She probably woke up very early to vote for Uhuru only to be called a Mshenzi.

Tuesday, January 08, 2019- Kenyans woke up on Tuesday morning to the sad news of the passing on of former Chairperson of Youth Enterprise Fund and veteran music producer, Bruce Odhiambo.

Bruce died at Nairobi Hospital where he had been admitted in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after his blood pressure shot through the roof.

In November 2018, Bruce had flown to India for a routine replacement of a pacemaker implanted in his heart to help manage irregular heartbeats.

During his time at the Youth Fund, Bruce was accused of looting the kitty meant to empower the youth.

He becomes the third person at the helm of Youth Fund scandal to die after Catherine Namuye; both died of heart related complications and the fund’s driver who was found murdered at a pool in Mombasa.

President Uhuru, who was his friend and former classmate at St Mary's School Nairobi is among Kenyans who have paid tribute to him on social media.

However, a lady has sensationally claimed that the late Bruce was no saint accusing him of sexually preying on upcoming female musicians.

She went to narrate that Bruce was untouchable due to his friendship with senior government officials including the President.

Tuesday January 8, 2019-Kitui Senator, Enoch Wambua, is now a man under siege after he was attacked by goons who violently broke up his press conference in Mwingi Town.

Wambuatried to hold a press conference at AIC Church in Mwingi on Sunday when a group of hired goons attacked him.

First, the goons shouted and jeered at the Senator to make him inaudible to the journalists present before hell broke loose.

His bodyguard tried to restrain the youth and at one point he was seen trying to draw his gun.

But the irked group would hear none of that and even threatened to pounce on the Senator, prompting the intervention of two Administration Police officers who escorted him to his car.

He has since accused Kitui Governor, Charity Ngilu, whom he accused of engaging in corruption in Kitui County, of inciting the rowdy youth to disrupt his presser.

However, he vowed the hired goons would not stop him from overseeing the use of funds and speaking up against corruption and arbitrary theft of funds.

Tuesday January 8, 2019-Former Kiambu County Governor, William Kabogo, has said he is ready to offer financial and moral support to Deputy President William Ruto as he plans to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.

In interview with Kameme FM on Monday, Kabogo said he will marshal his supporters across Mt Kenya to ensure Ruto succeed Uhuru in 2022.

“I am ready to work with Dr Ruto on matters of 2022 Presidency,” Kabogo said.

When asked about the comments by former Jubilee Party Vice chairman, David Murathe who asked Deputy President to retire in 2022, Kabogo said Murathe is a broke power broker and he is desperate after realizing that Ruto might win the presidency in 2022.

He said Murathe is just an individual and assured the DP and his supporters that Mt Kenya region will never betray him despite noise from some quarters.

“We as Kikuyus we don’t need a spokesman to tell where we will vote in 2022. We know where our vote belongs despite the noise,” Kabogo said in vernacular.

Tuesday January 8, 2019-Deputy President William Ruto has suffered another blow in his 2022 Presidential bid.

This is after Nakuru Town West MP, Samuel Arama, also dumped him and his 2022 bid, saying it is not a matter of life and death for Ruto to become President in 2022.

In a statement, Arama, who was one of Ruto’s trusted lieutenants in Jubilee, disowned the DP’s clamour for power, saying Kenyans Kenyans have a right to choose a President who they deem fit to serve as Head of State.

“It is not a matter of life and death that Dr. Ruto becomes President.”

“If he's chosen, well and good, if he loses, that's democracy and we must respect that," Arama said.

Instead, Arama said Kenyans should try a Fred Matiang'i Presidency, hailing the Interior Cabinet Secretary for his transformative agenda in various departments he has served.

"We have the likes of Dr. Fred Matiang’i who has shown that he has qualities to be the next President of Kenya and I will push my community to have him on the ballot because we must show the other communities that this seat is not their preserve,” said Arama.

Tuesday January 8, 2019 - President Uhuru Kenyatta referred to Central Kenya political leaders and the electorate (to some extent) as washenzi (idiots) on Monday after they questioned his development record in the area perceived as his political bedrock.

Uhuru, who was speaking in Mombasa during the launch of Mama Ngina Drive Waterfront project, said he will not be intimidated by some Central Kenya politicians who thrive in political confusion.

“I, my friends, am not one to be easily intimidated. Especially when I know the path I have taken and where I want to go is the best place for Kenya,” visibly agitated Uhuru said.

Uhuru spoke a week after Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria, criticized him claiming Mt Kenya region had been ignored because the President was busy initiating projects in regions that did not even vote for Jubilee.

Following the war of words between Uhuru and Kuria, former Kakamega Senator, Dr Boni Khalwale, has revealed the politician who is behind Uhuru’s sudden change of character.

He said since the time of the handshake with NASA leader, Raila Odinga, Uhuru has sunk low to a level of engaging with junior politicians like Kuria.

“Raila has confused Uhuru and he is now engaging with junior politicians like Kuria. He needs to come out from that prison that he was taken by Raila after the handshake,” Khalwale told journalists on Tuesday.

Tuesday January 8, 2019 - Wajir Woman Representative, Fatuma Gedi, has finally spoken about the alleged sex video which was leaked online last month.

Speaking over the weekend at Soko Mjinga in Wajir Town, Gedi said she is not the woman in the sex video as it was alleged.

The outspoken MP dismissed the sex tape claiming that the video was leaked by her political detractors to destroy her political career.

“I am not the woman in the sex footage.”

“The video is only meant to soil my reputation and taint my image.”

“This is just a hurdle and we will overcome,” Gedi said.

In the one-minute sex video that was leaked online, the woman of Somali descent alleged to be Gedi is seen having raw sex with a man believed to be a Jubilee MP from Rift Valley.

She thanked the people of Wajir County and everyone who stood with her after the sex video was leaked.

“I thank the people of Wajir for standing with me when a few individuals who wanted to kill my political ambitions created a fake video. Only God knows the truth,” she said.

Tuesday January 8, 2019 - US based Kenyan law scholar, Prof Makau Mutua, has revealed the person who sent former Jubilee Party Vice Chairman, David Murathe, to abuse Deputy President William Ruto.

Last week, Murathe unambiguously said that Mt Kenya’s communities do not have a debt - or any MoU - with Ruto to support him for the top seat in 2022.

He said that even if there was a MoU, it must have been between two individuals, not communities.

He simply said Ruto would have to collect his debt from Kenyatta and not the Mt Kenya people.

Murathe’s choice of words generated a political tsunami within Jubilee Party with many asking who sent Murathe to speak such unsavoury words.

But according to Makau Mutua, a distinguished professor of law at Buffalo Law School in New York, Murathe was sent by President Uhuru Kenyatta who he refers to as the “scion of the Burning Spear”.

“Mr Murathe is no ordinary mortal in Jubilee. Depending on your taste, he sits either to the left, or the right, of the scion of the Burning Spear. So the public is wise to assume that when Murathe speaks, he does so on implied or explicit instructions “from above," Mutua wrote in one of his columns.

He concluded by saying Uhuru sent a coded message to Ruto through Murathe telling him that if he will vie for the Presidency in 2022, he should forget about Mt Kenya region support.
