Friday, January 11, 2019 - This photo of President Uhuru flanked by Treasury CS, Henry Rotich, and Agriculture CS, Mwangi Kiunjuri, has left tongues wagging.

The photo was taken on Friday at State House, Mombasa, when the President was briefing the media on maize prices and payment of cane farmers.

However, Kenyans have taken issue with CS Rotich’s choice of baggy trouser that makes him look like he just landed from the 1970s when such trousers were in vogue.

See the photo below and reaction on social media.

Friday, January 11, 2019 - A powerful Cabinet Secretary in Uhuru Kenyatta’s Government awarded a tender worth Ksh 6 million to his slay queen mpango wa kando.

The Kenyan DAILY POST understands that the no-nonsense CS who rarely laughs and has the ear of the President, ordered a tender of maintaining the Ministry’s cars to be given to his young side-dish.

Every month, she walks to the office and collects a cheque without doing any work.

Recently when the payment was delayed, the CS, who pretends to be a clean man in public but he is very corrupt, stormed the accountants’ office and harassed the staff, accusing them of trying to ruin the relationship between him and the mpango wa kando.

The famous powerful CS called Mr IBU in political circles has a habit of doing such things and although a local newspaper wrote the story and refused to mention him, well placed sources informed us that he is the one.

Here’s the scoop on that developing story which we are gathering more information and it’s just a matter of time before we blast the shameless CS here with full details.

Friday January 11, 2019 - A close confidante of Deputy President William Ruto has claimed that National Super Alliance (NASA) is no longer serving its role as the opposition coalition in Parliament.

Addressing a Press Conference on Friday, Kimilili MP, Didmus Barasa, asked NASA MPs to now elect a new Minority Leader saying the current one - John Mbadi - has become a 'Jubilee flower girl'.

Barasa said the opposition is constitutionally mandated to help fight for the rights of Kenyans and as such should never be seen as going to bed with the ruling party.

He said Mbadi should be replaced because he has failed to serve Kenyans in his position.

"I'm shocked to see the very same leaders who used to say that this Government is overburdening wananchi by too much borrowing and massive corruption in maize and sugar sectors have now changed tune," Barasa said.

The outspoken legislator said ODM party is now behaving as if it's part of the Government.

He said NASA MPs who were previously sworn critics of the Jubilee regime are now heaping praise on the Government.

"We are seeing people behaving in a funny way with various rumours, propaganda and lies being peddled in Jubilee Party by ODM members who think the handshake gave them a nod to be part of the Jubilee regime." he said.

Friday, January 11, 2019 - Former Kiambu Governor, William Kabogo, has come to the rescue of a bright boy whose dream of joining the prestigious Mang’u High School was in the balance due to lack of school fees.

The boy had called on the wealthy politician to help him raise the required school fees via a local radio station.

Kabogo did not only offer to pay his school fees until university but also personally drove him to Mang’u High School.

Taking to twitter, Kabogo shared a photo of him and the boy at the school with the caption:

“At Mangu high to register the young Man who approached me through Kameme Radio. God willing I’ll see him through to Uni.”

Friday January 11, 2019 - Amani National Congress (ANC) party has said that it supports the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader, Raila Odinga, but said it will continue to perform its role as an opposition party.

Addressing a Press Conference on Friday, ANC leaders led by Lugari MP, Ayub Savula, and Tindi Mwale of Butere said ANC supports the handshake fully but it cannot join the Government.

Savula welcomed President Uhuru Kenyatta's pledge to initiate development projects throughout the country.

"We are not going to bed with Jubilee, but when we see something positive, we give our support to the Government thus we support President Uhuru Kenyatta's development plan," Savula said.

"Being in the opposition does not mean that we will not be loyal to the President. The notion that development should go where the President hails from does not stand the test of time.” Savula added.

Mwale, on his side, said ANC under the leadership of Musalia Mudavadi believes it is Deputy President William Ruto who is sponsoring attacks on various leaders and political parties.

Mwale said Ruto has hired Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria, and Bahati MP, Kimani Ngunjiri, to rattle the President in his backyard after realizing that he is not supporting his Presidency in 2022.

Friday January 11, 2019-City lawyer, Ahmednasir Abdullahi, is one of the most respected lawyers we have in the country.

Having joined legal profession in early 1990s, Ahmednasir has proved to be one of the most brilliant legal minds we have in the country.

But his conduct lately has raised speculations on whether he is the sharp lawyer we know or he is just a street lawyer like Kipchumba Murkomen.

On Thursday, Ahmednasir took to his Twitter account and bashed a tea boy who served him tea when he visited Suna East Junet Mohamed’s office in Nairobi.

Although the lawyer in his Tweet did not disclose when he was at Junet's office, he says the visit was warm though he did not like what transpired later.

“Some Kenyans have no protocol. For instance, Junet Mohamed is a man I have a lot of time and respect and we discuss many issues. When I visit his office the boy who runs around like headless chicken serving me chai [tea] and mandazi wants me to engage him on Twitter like we are peers." Ahmednasir wrote.

But in a rejoinder, Junet said the man who served him tea has a masters degree from one of the most reputable institution and he should not underrate him.

“This man who served you tea and mandazi in my office has masters in terms of academic qualifications and went to one of the best schools in Migori County called Kanga high school and not a village school named after certain elder in Mandera County like you. Kindly be careful,"Junet posted on Twitter.

Prof Mugenda, who was a lecturer of statistics and research at USIU and a renowned scholar, was said to have died of short illness.

However, it has emerged that the late academician may have committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of a popular hotel in Nyeri Town.

A source intimated to us that the professor had checked into the White Rhino hotel on January 2 and was staying alone.

And on January 5, the day he died, a man jumped from the sixth floor of the hotel and died on the spot but the incident was not reported.

Police suspect the Saturday 5am incident is a possible suicide because CCTV camera shows the deceased's movement before his death.

On the same day, a surveillance camera captured the professor leaving his room on the fourth floor and going up the stairs.

Detectives handling the case confirmed that the don had injuries on his body and suspected suicide but did not wish to be named.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is among those who mourned the late academician describing him as a ‘patriot who dedicated his life to serving the country through his skills, knowledge and talent despite his great achievements and exposure to other opportunities outside Kenya.”

Oh, how the mighty have fallen!

From a top, respected journalist with an incredibly promising future to a mediocre rapper's video vixen.

The story of Betty Mutei Kyallo should be used as an example to all young girls out there.

Once Kenyans get tired of consuming her soft porn in the name of news on K24 TV, they will move on to something else and her value in the sector will degrade even further.

Her next move will probably be some substandard media house in the country like Ebru TV where nobody will watch her. She will then later turn into just another Kenyan socialite hanging around Nairobi's fuck boys.

After multiple heartbreaks she will now turn into religion and become “born again” then start bombarding us with motivational quotes on social media.

These wealthy politicians and sponyos will pick you up, use you, and dump you for the newest goods in town. It's all vanity!

Saturday January 12, 2019-President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto are yet to meet for more than three weeks amid brewing tensions within Jubilee Party that was sparked by former Jubilee Party Vice Chairman, David Murathe.

Murathe has vowed to block Ruto’s 2022 Presidential bid by any means necessary and would go even to the Supreme Court if need be.

According to sources, Ruto has been missing in most of Uhuru’s function recently and the President seems not to be bothered at all.

Ruto, who is known to flank the Head of State during his public addresses, was notably missing at the rebranding of Mama Ngina drive in Mombasa, and the recent press conference where he announced the new price of maize, sparking further debate on their relationship ever since Uhuru shook hands with Opposition leader Raila Odinga.

The sources further revealed that a meeting that was scheduled between the two was also aborted in unclear circumstances.

“There is little communication between the two.”

“There is some mistrust between them,” said a source.

While Uhuru has been busy bromancing with Raila at the Coast, Ruto has been juggling between his Karen home and his house in Sugoi.

Saturday, January 12, 2019-Chilling details of how Professor Abel Mugenda, the husband of former Kenyatta University Vice Chancellor, Olive Mugenda, committed suicide at a lavish hotel in Nyeri have emerged.

Mugenda’s family misled the public including the President that he died after a short illness.

According to well placed sources, Professor Mugenda had stayed at the hotel for four days from January 2 to January 5, when he committed suicide by jumping from the 6thfloor and died on the spot.

A staff at the hotel revealed that Mugenda looked disturbed from the moment he stepped into the hotel on January 2 and booked a room.

“He was all alone most of the time and would appear in the dininghall for meals. He was mostly on phone but we would not notice something unusual,” A staff at the hotel where he committed suicide revealed.

Documents at Nyeri police station indicate that the officers received a report that a man who had booked a room at the hotel as Abel Mugenda had jumped from the 6thfloor and died on the spot, information that his family has been hiding from the public and lying that he died after a short illness.

The Kenyan DAILY POST has learnt that the professor left his room at the 4th floor and went to the 6th floor where he jumped and died on the spot.

An eye-witness who saw Mugenda jump to death revealed that he tried to prevent him from taking his own life by yelling  but it was too late.

Officers who reviewed CCTV footage of what exactly happened revealed that the professor attempted to slit his throat with a knife but he chose another method of commiting suicide by jumping from the 6th floor.

Professor Abel  Mugenda, who was almost turning 66, was a professor of statistics and research at United States International University(USIU).

He will be buried next week at Thogoto in Kiambu County.

Saturday, January 12, 2019- Arsenal face off with West Ham United in the early Premier League kick off looking to temporarily move level on points with fourth placed Chelsea.

West Ham have lost more Premier League matches against Arsenal than they have against any other club in the division, being beaten 29 times from their 45 such meetings.Go Here>>>

The Hammers have only won one of the last 23 across all competitions too, including three defeats in a row and an ongoing winless streak of seven.

That solitary victory came at the Emirates, and you have to go back to November 2006 for West Ham's last home triumph over the Gunners, losing eight of the 11 such meetings since then.

    Prediction: West Ham 1-Arsenal 3 Go Here>>>

Arsenal have been boosted by the news that six first-team players have returned to full training and are back in contention for this match.

Crucially, five of those are defenders to ease Emery's headaches at the back, with Bellerin, Koscielny, Mavropanos, Mustafi and Nacho Monreal all available again. Go Here>>>

While West Ham do have players capable of causing a leaky Arsenal defence serious problems and probably get something from this game, they have a miserable record against the Gunners and if Emery's side can tighten up at the back with their fit-again defenders returning then they should be able to come away with all three points.

Saturday January 12, 2019-Self declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) general, Miguna Miguna, has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to endorse NASA leader, Raila Odinga, as president in 2022 and then rig him out like what outgoing Congo President, Joseph Kabila, did to his candidate.

In Congo, Kabila endorsed Emmanuel Shadary as his candidate but he massively rigged in favour of opposition candidate Felix Tshisekedi .

Now Miguna wants Uhuru to endorse Raila Odinga‘s presidency in 2022 and then rig the election in favour of KANU chairman, Gideon Moi.

Joseph Kabila's dictatorial memo to Kenya's tyrant, @UKenyatta: Publicly and loudly proclaim that Jubilee National Coalition's 2022 candidate is @RailaOdinga. However, massively rig the election for @MoiGideon and declare that "Moi, too, is a Kenyan. We need unity!” Miguna said.

Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta came together in March last year. They made peace in the famous handshake and the duo has since been moving across the country spreading unity under the Building Bridges Initiative.

Political pundits say Uhuru may abandon Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential bid and endorse Raila Odinga for the top seat.

Saturday January 12, 2019-Leader of Majority in Parliament, Aden Duale, has issued a message to all those Jubilee Party leaders who have formed a habit of attacking President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In the last two weeks, Jubilee Party MPs led by Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria and Bahati MP, Kimani Ngunjiri, have been attacking President Uhuru Kenyatta accusing him of marginalizing Mt Kenya region.

But in an interview with Capital FM on Thursday, Duale said Kuria and Ngunjiri should respect the presidency and President Uhuru as an institution.

Duale , who is also the Garissa Township MP,said that the president will not be cowed by sideshows adding that the Jubilee Party will discuss the conduct of errant members speaking against the President.

He urged leaders to respect each other and focus on development because that is the agenda of President Uhuru and Deputy President William Ruto.

“I really want to ask Jubilee leaders who want to reduce the President and his deputy to their community and their regions that it is against the principles of the Jubilee Party in which we formed after collapsing a number of the regional and tribal parties that propelled us to government in 2013. I am in consultation with the Secretary General of the Party, I am a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC), and as a party we plan to discuss the conduct of those errant members or officials who want to disparage the President and his deputy,” he said.

Saturday January 12, 2019-A group of ODM MPs has castigated Jubilee leaders critical of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his development record, saying they must respect the Presidency.

Speaking yesterday, the ODM legislator said they will put up a joint force against Mr. Kenyatta's critics.

Led by Ugunja MP, Opiyo Wandayi, and his Mathare counterpart, Antony Oluoch, said their mission going forward is to protect the presidency at whatever cost.

"Those attacking the President are against the handshake.”

“They want to drive a wedge between the President and our party leader.”

“We shall not sit back and watch the peace and tranquillity brought about by the handshake threatened,” said Wandayi.

On his part, Oluoch pledged his support to Uhuru and NASA leader, Raila Odinga, saying he will rally leaders to help them finish what they started after the handshake.

"You said you want to complete the journey and we are helping you do it.”

“The person completing the journey is Uhuru Kenyatta, the President of the republic of Kenya.”

    “He needs to be respected.”

“That is going to be our bone of contention with you.”

“We cannot allow you to disrespect the presidency,” said Oluoch.

"The President belongs to all Kenyans.”

“He does not belong to Kiambu or Nyeri only.”

“He is the President of us all and that must be respected," he added.
