Monday January 14, 2019-Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party has vehemently denied proposing a nominee for Nairobi Deputy Governorship position.

In a statement, the party denied that it had fronted Rahab Wangui to be Governor Mike Sonko’s Deputy.

This is after Sonko revealed on Friday that he had postponed naming of his Deputy after receiving a request from ODM leadership to consider their proposed nominee.

Sonko divulged that he had decided to push announcement in the spirit of the handshake and subsequent co-operation with the ruling coalition.

"I was ready with a nominee but I received a letter from NASA requesting me to consider their nominee.”

“Therefore, I shall not be forwarding the name in the spirit of handshake to allow for more consultation," Sonko said.

But according to ODM Secretary-General, Edwin Sifuna, ODM does not intend to be associated with the mess at City Hall.

“We did not send any name for deputy governorship position because we do not want to be associated with the mess that happened in Nairobi,” Sifuna remarked.

Monday January 14, 2019-Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Chairman, John Mbadi, has warned National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga, against imposing leaders on Luo electorate.

In 2017, Raila Odinga imposed four governors to the Luo electorate and according to Mbadi this is a recipe for disaster.

Without mentioning names, Mbadi, who is also the Minority leader in Parliament said most governors in Luo Nyanza have no development record.

Mr Mbadi said the performance of most governors in the region is embarrassing compared to other areas like Central Kenya.

“ODM leader , Raila Odinga and many others fought for devolution but the fruits are not being realized back home because of the clueless people in office,” ,Mbadi said.

Mbadi also said time has come for a revolution in Luo Nyanza where technocrats should replace seasoned political dinosaurs like governors Prof Anyang Nyongo and Cyprian Awiti.

Monday January 14, 2019-Treasury has come up with a master plan that would eliminate all the cartels in Government that have been leeching our public coffers.

Speaking during the release of the Budget Policy Statement for the year 2019 to 2020, Treasury Cabinet Secretary, Henry Rotich unveiled a new unit in a bid to eliminate cartels in Government procurement.

The Public Investment Management Unit, which is set to be rolled out in July, will oversee the selection, budgeting and management of development projects and public-private partnerships.

“The PIM unit shall independently review large projects before they are included in the budget.”

“This will ensure that priority projects are selected and implemented on time and within budget,” read part of the budget statement.

PIM will be required to subject all projects to the Quality Assurance Process stipulated in their guidelines.

Besides, the unit will also ensure that all public procurement processes undergo public scrutiny.

Monday, January 14, 2019- Media personality Lilian Muli seems to be coping well after her nasty break-up with her baby daddy Jared Nevaton.

The Citizen TV news anchor took to Instagram on December 24^th2018 to announce that she is single and no longer wanted to be associated with the Mr. Nevaton whom she described to as ‘a community husband’.

It seems the screen siren is slowly but surely moving on from the break up and has taken solace in renowned Bishop TD Jakes’s sermon on dealing with heartbreaks.

Monday January 14, 2019-FORD Kenya Deputy Party Leader, Boni Khalwale, has been urged to quit the party for shifting allegiance to Deputy President William Ruto and drumming up his support for 2022 Presidency in the Western region.

In a statement, FORD Kenya Secretary General, Eseli Simiyu, claimed that Khalwale had begun a premature Presidential campaign for another candidate, thus being a stumbling block to FORD Kenya Party Leader, Moses Wetangula, who is also eyeing the top office in the land.

Simiyu asked Khalwale to do the right thing and resign from the party quietly or else he will be ejected by force.

“Khalwale is a seasoned politician who fully understands what the party rules and regulations are as well as the requirements of the Political Parties Act.”

“He should feel free to leave since his heart is elsewhere,” Simiyu said.

According to Simiyu, Khalwale should bolt out of the party for supporting Ruto instead of supporting his party Presidential candidate, Moses Wetangula, for President come 2022.

Khalwale has vowed to support Ruto to succeed Uhuru Kenyatta as President in 2022.

Monday January 14, 2019-Deputy President William Ruto has received a huge boost after a section of Luo Council of Elders supported his presidential bid in 2022.

The elders led by their chairman, Opiyo Otondi, said Ruto is the man to beat in 2022 and they will rally members of the Luo community to support his bid.

The elders also said they waited, Ruto on Saturday in Kisumu but because of other engagements he failed to attend their meeting.

“We have been waiting for the DP since morning, but, unfortunately, he has not turned up. We love him and he should come and see his people,” said Otondi.

Otondi’s sentiments were echoed Kisumu Coptic Church, Fr John Pesa, who said Luo community will support Ruto’s presidency in 2022.

Pesa praised the DP said he is a charismatic leader who will take the country to greater heights once elected as president in 2022.

For the last two decades, NASA leader, Raila Odinga, has been commanding huge support from the region.

Monday, January 14, 2019- The legendary Kenyan boxer is making great progress in rehabilitation if her latest photos are anything to go by.

Two months ago, Conjestina made headlines over her poor mental and financial state.

Her mother revealed that the once celebrated boxer with iron fists, had sunk into drug abuse and her health was deteriorating.

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko came to her rescue and had her flown to Nairobi booked her in a rehabilitation center.

Over the weekend, officers from Nairobi County visited her in rehab and she is in great shape.

Monday January 14, 2019-Moiben Member of Parliament, Silas Tiren, has added his voice on 2022 succession debate and gave a hint on the kind of leader he will be supporting for the President in the 2022 General Elections.

Venting on Facebook, Tiren, who is a Jubilee rebel and against Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 Presidential bid, revealed that his support for 2022 will be pegged on an individual who will help farmers.

However, he said it was still too early to discuss 2022 politics.

“My support for 2022 Presidency shall be pegged on an individual who will be ready and has shown the willingness to help the farmers.”

“However, I feel that this debate is far too early to discuss now, we should focus on service delivery to our electorates,” said Tiren in the Facebook post.

At the same time, Tiren further expressed his support for the handshake which he termed as “the best thing that happened to us as a country.”

“I am in support of the President in ensuring that each part of this country is developed and no region should be regarded as special.”

“Handshake is the best thing that happened to us as a country, it has brought stability and enable the country move forward,” posted the MP.

Monday January 14, 2018-Kapseret Member of Parliament, Oscar Sudi, has expressed confidence that Deputy President William Ruto will overcome all the possible challenges to ascend to the Presidency come 2022.

Speaking on Monday, Sudi said that the DP has his own fallback plan and has among others, been courting leaders from other regions to cement his Presidency.

He noted that not even the rumours of a possible betrayal by the President Uhuru Kenyatta and possible collapse of the Jubilee Party would stop the DP.

He downplayed the scheme in Jubilee which is aimed at blocking Ruto from succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta when his term ends in 2022, saying those holding such views will be shocked.

According to Sudi, Ruto is a clever politician who is most likely aware of such happenings in politics and is therefore very prepared.

“He knows there are those who support him and those who oppose him.”

“He has his strategies,” Sudi said.

Former Jubilee Vice Chair, David Murathe, is among those plotting against Ruto’s bid in 2022.

Doctors said they admitted a man with a swollen, deformed, and bluish colored penis.

He underwent an emergency surgery after an MRI scan showed that he had a fracture.

The man confessed that he tried unusual position when the incident happened.

The surgeon in charge of the surgery, said the patient has recovered and is now able to pass water normally but will need up to three months before regaining his ability to have sex.

Monday January 14,2019-Kakamega County Governor , Wycliffe Oparanya, is now the new chairman of the Council of Governors after Turkana Governor , Josphat Nanok’s tenure ended in December last year.

Oparanya , who is also ODM ‘s deputy party leader, beat Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga), Anyang’ Nyong’o (Kisumu), Salim Mvurya (Kwale) and Jackson Mandago (Uasin Gishu).

Muranga Governor, Mwangi Wa Iria, was elected as Vice Chairman of Council of Governors.

The election of the officials took place at Movenipick Hotel, Nairobi, and was attended by more than 40 governors.

Oparanya is the fifth governor to be picked to head the council after Isaac Rutto (Bomet), Peter Munya (Meru), Salim Mvurya (Kwale) and Nanok.

ODM party under the leadership of NASA leader, Raila Odinga, congratulated Governor Oparanya for winning such a voted seat.

“Hon. Oparanya has shown exemplary performance since his election as Governor of Kakamega County six years ago. His track record speaks for itself and his election today only confirms the confidence his colleagues in the Council of Governors have in him. It is our hope that Hon. Oparanya will use the position to champion for the strengthening of Devolution for a better future of our Nation,"ODM said in a statement.

Monday January 14, 2019-National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga, is reportedly burning the midnight oil as he crafts a perfect scheme to stop Deputy President William Ruto from ascending to power in 2022.

Though the septuagenarian has declared that he is not interested with the presidency in 2022 , his closest aides says the man is spending countless hours with a dozen of advisers on how to stop the “Hustler from Sugoi” from winning the coveted seat in 2022.

Borrowing notes from the French Revolution of 1800s, Raila, who is described as “An Enigma in Kenya politics” by Nigerian author, Babafemi Badejo, has formed a secret “Holy Alliance” which comprises of trade unionists, civil societies and religious leaders.

During the French revolution, monarchs of Austria, Prussia, and Russia formed “Holy Alliance” to remove Napoleon Bonaparte from power.

Napoleon was an authoritarian ruler who ruled France between 1799 and 1815 when he was removed by “Holy Alliance”.

According to Raila's advisers, Ruto is the Kenya’s Napoleon Bonaparte and they want to form a formidable alliance that will stop him from succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta.

One duty of the “Holy Alliance” is to support calls for a referendum which is being opposed by Deputy President William Ruto and his political orphans.

Raila’s think tank is of the idea that referendum is being supported by majority of Kenyans and it is only the DP who is opposing it.

Tuesday January 15, 2019-A Muslim girl from Huruma, who was alleged to have been kidnapped by a worshiper of The Holiness and Repentance Ministry associated with controversial preacher, Prophet David Owuor, has denounced her Muslim family.

Khadija Mohammed, who had been missing for close to five months, was found at the Ruai Girls Secondary school and taken to Huruma police station where she disowned her guardian in broad daylight.

The 16-year-old Khadija is said to have decided to change her religion claiming her guardian were abusing her and they were behind the death of her parents.

"She claims I killed both her mother and father and now does not want to come back home believing I will also kill her," said Khadija's guardian.

According to her family, Khadija also changed her names immediately she converted to Christianity.

“The girl’s names were changed to Samatha Mathua after she was converted to Christianity and baptised," said one of her relatives.

Tuesday January 15, 2019-Embattled Migori Governor, Okoth Obado, is in deep trouble again and could be arrested again any time.

This is after Jared Kwaga; a former close business associate of Obado, was summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to record a statement about an alleged plot by the county boss to kill him.

Speaking on the matter, DCI boss, George Kinoti, confirmed that indeed they are investigating Obado over alleged plot to murder Kwaga.

"Yes, we are investigating this issue and hope to conclude investigations soon,” said Kinoti.

According to sources, detectives are in receipt of a letter with details of an alleged scheme by the Governor Obado and his associates to eliminate Kwaga.

Jared and Obado, who had engaged in prior business dealings, are reported to have fallen out in 2018.

This comes even as Migori Governor still faces the murder charges of his ex-lover, Sharon Otieno, who was brutally murdered in cold blood last year.

Tuesday January 15, 2019-Controversial political analyst, Mutahi Ngunyi, has given his cents on the ongoing drama in the Jubilee Party regarding Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 Presidential bid.

Speaking on his popular Youtube channel, The Fifth Estate, Ngunyi poured cold water on the fate of Kikuyu community after 2022 Presidential elections, saying the tribe will be out of power for 30 years after the forthcoming referendum.

According to Mutahi, the political rants from Kikuyu community leaders was a sign of panic over their fate in leadership after the 2022 elections, given that they have no strong candidate to take over from Uhuru.

"To the Kikuyus, 2022 elections is not an issue, to them 2022 marks the end of an empire, the GEMA (Gikuyu, Embu, Meru Association) empire which was started in 1963 and was rudely interrupted by former President Moi before it was continued by Kibaki and now Uhuru," said Mutahi.

"The empire is coming to an end in 2022 and the earliest another Kikuyu can become President is 30 years later, 2052, and this is scary to the Kikuyu capitalists and nobility of the GEMA empire," he added.
