Tuesday January 15, 2019-Controversial Prophet David Owuor has continued to mislead his gullible followers by comparing himself to Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

This is after he told them that it was difficult for one to go to heaven without going through him since he was directly sent by God himself.

In a video that was shared by blogger Abraham Mutai, Owuor, who enjoys huge following from across the country, is seen giving counsel to another person, who is however not captured.

According to Dr. Owuor, all those yearning to go to heaven must pass through him because nobody can ignore the Prophet of the Lord and expect to make it to heaven.

"There is a lot of confusion in the church.”

“God is never irrelevant.”

“He cannot send me then you purport that you can go to heaven without going through me," Owuor is heard telling the unidentified supporter in the video.

"Are you getting that? More critical is that you cannot ignore the prophet of the Lord.”

“You cannot just go to heaven like that.”

“There is a purpose for all of us and so you must do the right thing,” he added.

But according to John 14: 6, Jesus said He is the only one with direct links with God.

Tuesday January 15, 2019-Former Kakamega Senator, Dr Boni Khalwale, has laughed off calls by a section of Ford Kenya party members to take disciplinary action against him.

On Sunday, Ford Kenya party leader, Moses Wetangula and delegates of Bungoma called for expulsion of Khalwale from the party for associating himself with Deputy President William Ruto.

However addressing a press conference on Monday, Khalwale, who is also Ford Kenya deputy party leader, said it is naïve for members to call for his expulsion yet Wetangula has been visiting Ruto at night.

“I want to tell the Ford Kenya leadership that their integrity is at stake. Why should they visit Ruto at night and negotiate only to pretend during the day when they go back to Bungoma?" Khalwale said.

Khalwale said his decision to reach out to Ruto was informed by the fact that Ford Kenya alone could not produce a President.

He said the party needed to work with other serious presidential candidates.

“Let people not be myopic, the current politics of Kenya entails that only coalitions of sorts will form the government. What can Ford Kenya alone do without working with others?” he posed.

Khalwale challenged other party leaders to come out openly and reveal partners that they are willing to work with rather than rebuking him.

“They should come out and say if not Ruto who do they want to work with? What I am doing is good for the party, the Luhya community, and the country,” he said.

Tuesday January 15, 2019-A technical problem during President Uhuru Kenyatta's round-table interview at State House in Mombasa has cost several journalists their jobs.

Kenya broadcaster, KBC has suspended the entire crew in charge of production, preview and transmission from both in Mombasa and Nairobi stations as a result of the costly blunder.

Among those reportedly interdicted were Francis Ngila, who was Transmission Control (TC) of the day, Zipporah Simani, who was heading TC in Nairobi, and Senior News Producer at KBC Zipporah Muthui.

Others include Jackline Wasolo, the producer on duty at KBC's Broadcasting House Nairobi, Edwin Rasto, who was heading Transmission and Sound Operations of the day and KBC crew members Julius Mutuku, Njeru Nyaga, Mwambinya and Benjamin Mutei.

According to sources, there was lack of lip sync for KBC's stream during the live service - the matching of a speaking person's lip movements with the spoken vocals that listeners hear.

Tuesday January 15, 2019-Self proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general, Miguna Miguna, has claimed President Uhuru Kenyatta has managed to tame ODM leaders and now they are behaving like zombies.

Commenting on social media on Monday, Miguna who is in exile in Canada, said ODM leaders have turned into “zombies who are mere spectators.”

 He said since the time of the handshake, ODM leaders like Raila Odinga and his sycophants have been behaving like cowards since Uhuru castrated them and currently they have nothing new to offer to Kenyans.

“To the ODM party zombies: Power doesn’t reside in handshakes, embraces, birthday parties, home visits, red carpets and motorcades. It resides in popular support, resources and military muscle. On these, you, zombies, are mere spectators. Uhuru Kenyatta has castrated you,” Miguna wrote in his Twitter page.

 Miguna also mocked at ODM MPs who vowed to protect Uhuru against insults from Jubilee Party members.

“But they yell that they will “protect” Uhuru Kenyatta! Raila Odinga and his zombies suffer from incurable diseases,” he said.

Tuesday January 15, 2019-Renowned political analyst, Mutahi Ngunyi, has warned President Uhuru Kenyatta never to betray Deputy President William Ruto come 2022.

Venting on his Youtube Channel, The Fifth Estate, Mutahi opines that the right decision for the Kikuyu community is to support the Deputy President William Ruto and if they fail to back up his 2022 Presidential bid, then, there shall be a rift in the GEMA nation.

“If Kikuyus betray William Ruto, the valley Kikuyus will vote independent of the mountain Kikuyus,” stated Ngunyi.

According to Mutahi, Kikuyus in the Central Kenya region will listen to President Uhuru Kenyatta and vote whatever direction he advises them whereas those in the Rift Valley region will defy Uhuru and vote for Ruto.

He said the recent attacks on MPs Kimani Ngunjiri (Bahati) and Moses Kuria (Gatundu South) by Uhuru, was working in favour of Ruto and that it was just a matter of time before the reality comes out.

Tuesday, January 15, 2019-This beautiful Kisii lady identified as, Maureen Monchali alias Nkoli Nkoli on facebook, a high school teacher in Kisii, was found dead in her rented house  after going missing for about a week and a half.

According to her close  friends, she was a very jovial and social person who had regular visitors in her house.

Her death has been shrouded in mystery although autopsy reports indicate that she was strangled to death.

According to Kisii County Police Coordinator, Bernard Muli, police officers found the door of the deceased’s house closed from inside when they went to retrieve the body.

The  decomposed body which was in bad shape  was found lying on the floor.

“Initially we thought it was a case of suicide but after the postmortem, we discovered that there were injuries on her skull,” a local OCPD said.

Tuesday, January 15, 2019-A Kisii lady identified as, Maureen Monchali alias Nkoli Nkoli on facebook, was found dead in her house after going missing for about a half and a week.

Maureen’s body was found rotting and according to police reports, she was strangled to death.

Although her death is shrouded in mystery, there is word going round that she was dating a married man.

I'll write.

My attention was drawn to the demise of a lady called Maurine, going by the name NKOLI NKOLI on Facebook. She was neither my friend nor known to me at any level. From the number of friends who mourned her, I'll say she must have been a great soul.

From information I gathered here and there;

1. Maurine was exceptionally friendly, outgoing and always had people around her. On top of that, she was a virtual noisemaker whose silence should have raised eyebrows.

2. Her body was discovered at her residence. It was badly decomposed.
Autopsy report indicates the cause of death was strangling. It further projects she'd been dead for 8-9 days before discovery.

3. She had a boyfriend. Word has it that the boyfriend lived with her in her house, got some money from her regularly, to a point she took him a loan. One ignored comment indicates the boyfriend could have been a married man, with family, the reason he opted to stay in her house yet she couldn't go to his.

4. Boyfriend aside, she was a friendly person who accommodated people at her place a lot. Prior to her going silent, she'd been part of a gathering that had family members.

5. Circumstances surrounding her final moments alive, whether she was killed, the motive, suspects, etc remains a mystery.

For 8-9 days, nobody bothered to check on this lady who people describe as friendly and accommodative. During that period, she was rotting. Sad. Very.

Begs the question, how reliable are friends and family. How often do we check on people we consider close? Do we know where they stay? If you went missing, how many people do you trust would discover it within a day?

As indicated, I didn't know Maurine at any level, but I wish her a peaceful rest.
Allow me pick up vital lessons from her final moments. If you consider someone close to you, keep them close.

Tuesday January 15, 2019-Homa Bay Woman Representative, Gladys Wanga, has weighed in on the 2022 succession debate as it hots up ahead of the next General Elections.

Speaking yesterday, Wanga noted that President Uhuru Kenyatta may not endorse Deputy President William Ruto as many Jubilee supporters are waiting for.

According to her, the President has every right to withhold his much awaited endorsement of Ruto’s 2022 Presidential bid.

She noted that Uhuru’s sudden silence on his 2022 preferred candidate could be as a result of his demand that politicians shun politicking and give time for development and service delivery.

She said that Uhuru is well aware that engaging in any political activity will only worsen the heating political temperatures and would rather remain silent.

"Huenda Rais anataka kumutangaza kama chaguo lake lakini anaona wakati haujafika (the President might be of the opinion that time is not ripe for political endorsements)," she said.

Wanga further claimed that Uhuru might decide to dishonor the promise in its entirety in retaliation to Ruto's inability to keep order within his camp and his continued disrespect.

"Huenda Rais ameudhika kwa sababu upande was Ruto unekataa kumsikiliza anaposema wanasiasa waache mambo ya chaguzi za 2022 (Uhuru seems bitter with the DP over the continued politicking in his camp. Ruto's allies seem unwilling to shelve the 2022 debate)," she added.

The married woman’s husband set a trap for his cheating wife after hearing rumours that she was dishing out flesh to another man behind his back.

His fears were confirmed when he caught another man on top of his wife busy working on her.

Tuesday January 15, 2019-Chief Justice, David Maraga, has told off President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga, for criticising the Judiciary.

For the last one month, Uhuru and Raila have ganged up in criticising the Judiciary accusing it of reluctance to aid the fight against corruption.

Last week, Raila claimed that the Judiciary was standing in the way of the renewed fight against graft.

Raila, who was speaking at a public forum, accused the court of failing to read the signs of the times and still living in the old days of corruption and bribery.

“Some of the worst crimes” yet they are “allowed to go back and work, sack people and interfere with evidence,” Raila said.

However in a rejoinder on Monday, Maraga said that the war on corruption would not be won on the intensity of emotions, but strict adherence to the rule of law.

“If you bring a hopeless case, we will say in our judgment why we are dismissing it, and the public will know where to place the blame. If you bring us a strong case and we are the ones playing monkey business, the public will also see,” Maraga said.

Maraga spoke during the swearing-in of the new Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission(EACC) Chief Executive Officer Twalib Mbarak at the Supreme Court in Nairobi.

Monday January 15, 2019-Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has urged Deputy President William Ruto to stay the course, assuring him that he will become President come 2022.

Speaking at Joy Celebration Church of Kenya in Naivasha, where he had accompanied the Deputy President William Ruto for a church service, Waititu reiterated that the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM Leader, Raila Odinga, will work in favour of Ruto contrary to the popular opinion that the handshake was a deal breaker for him and might favour Raila.

According to Waititu, the handshake is meant to bring balance and enable DP Ruto traverse even the Opposition stronghold to further cement his chances of becoming the President and was never about impeding him.

"The handshake should not worry you, it's meant to bring balance so that the Deputy President can strategize well,” said Waititu amid cheers from the congregation. 

"We know him (DP Ruto) as a very clever man, the handshake has enabled him to see and get support from all over the country, including Opposition strongholds,” he added.

Tuesday January 15, 2019-Flying Squad officers have finally arrested blogger, Dennis Kiptoo Mutai, after he posted a hate and incitement message on social media.

Mutai was arrested in Kericho town on Tuesday and he is being held at Kericho Police Station.

 Kiptoo has been on the list of those wanted by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) over his controversial messages on social media.

One of his Twitter post that caught the attention of Kenyans was when he said the country could go down the lane of 2008/2007 post election violence if President Uhuru Kenyatta betrays his deputy William Ruto in 2022.

"I am not issuing any threats but I must say the bitter truth to Kenyans. If Uhuru betrays Ruto then the country should be prepared for a repeat of 2007-2008. Uhuru cannot take us for a ride,” One of Kiptoo’s tweet read.

Police are also looking for former Njoro MP, Francis Kiuna, who is said to have made incitement remarks against Kalenjin community.

Tuesday January 15, 2019-MPs from Nakuru County taught Deputy President William Ruto a bitter lesson after they snubbed his meeting in Naivasha amid growing tension between Kalenjins and Kikuyus over his 2022 Presidential bid.

Nine Nakuru MPs skipped a visit by the Deputy President without any apology as to why they kept away.

Only three MPs from Nakuru County attended the visit by Ruto at Joy Celebration Centre. They include Njoro’s Charity Kathambi, Naivasha’s Jane Kihara and Gilgil’s Martha Wangari.

It is not yet clear why the rest of the MPs kept off the function despite indications that an earlier communication had been done about the visit.

Interestingly, despite the Nakuru MPs being missing-in-action, the DP was accompanied by more than 40 MPs largely from the Mt. Kenya region, among them Kiambu Governor, Ferdinand Waititu.

Ruto has been facing rebellion, especially from Mt. Kenya, over his 2022 Presidential ambitions.

Tuesday January 15, 2019-Deputy President William Ruto reportedly returned to State House yesterday for the first time after several weeks amid reports of a fall out with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

This comes even as reports emerged that the Ruto and Uhuru had not directly spoken to each other for three weeks and that they were relying on phone calls and texts from proxies.

According to sources, there was a lot of mistrust between the President and his Deputy to the point that they had kept away from one other.

"There is no communication at all from the two leaders.”

“Seems there is a lot of mistrust between them.”

“They haven't been talking lately," a source confirmed.

Last week, Ruto was conspicuously missing from the launching of Sh1 billion Mama Ngina Drive Regeneration, even after his Spokesperson, David Mugonyi, confirmed he was to attend the function which was also graced by ODM Leader, Raila Odinga.

It is now a question of wait and see to find out what transpired in State House yesterday.

Tuesday January 15, 2019-A Nairobi hotel is currently under siege after terrorists struck and held some people hostages.

According to police, terrorists struck, Dusit Hotel along Riverside Drive, Nairobi at around 3.45 PM and threw grenades to the guards of the hotel before accessing the hotel lobby.

 Heavy explosions and automatic rifles were heard from distance and it is believed that more than 6 terrorists are inside the hotel.

Kenya's elite Reece Squad and Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) are currently at the scene and it is just a matter of time before the terrorists are neutralized.

 No casualties have been reported and it is just few people who panicked due to explosion.

 It is believed Al Shabaab are behind the attack to commemorate three years since the  El-Ade town town attack where they killed over 200 KDF  soldiers who were in peace mission in Somalia.

The El Ade attack took place on January 15, 2016.

taken responsibility for the Dusit D2 attack.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, the group’s spokesperson confirmed conducting an operation in the country’s capital.

According to police, terrorists struck the hotel at around 3.45 PM and threw grenades to the guards of the hotel before accessing the hotel lobby.

Heavy explosions and automatic rifles were heard from distance and it is believed that more than 6 terrorists are inside the hotel.

Kenya's elite Reece Squad and Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Special Forces are currently at the scene and it is just a matter of time before the terrorists are neutralized.

Several people are feared dead.

Al Shabab has claimed responsibility of the attack saying it is a celebration of the El Adde attack where they killed 200 KDF soldiers who were on a peace keeping mission in Somalia.

 The El Ade attack took place on January 15, 2016.

Tuesday January 15, 2019-Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), George Kinoti, is among senior police officers who are leading a team of commandos in hunting for Al Shabab terrorists who attacked Dusit D2 Hotel in Nairobi.

 The 6 terrorists gained access of the hotel at around 3.45 pm after hurling grenades at security guards who were manning the gate of the posh hotel.

The terrorists started shooting indiscriminately and later held people hostage.

 Reece Commandos and KDF Special Forces are currently evacuating people from the hotel before neutralizing the Al Shabaab dogs.

Armed with a special American attack gun, Kinoti joined the commandos in evacuating people before they kill the terrorists.

Somalia based militant, Al Shabaab ,has claimed responsibility of the attack.

Tuesday, January 15, 2019-A man has been arrested in the ongoing rescue operation at Dusit hotel, where members of Al-Shabaab militant group carried out a terror attack on Tuesday afternoon.

The man was caught with guns and a magazine around his waist.

He has been identified as Memba Kariuki, a lawyer by profession.

However, further reports indicate that he is a licensed gun holder.
