Wednesday May 22, 2019-Residents of Trans-Nzoia County have been left in shock after a local pastor reportedly admitted to having eloped with the wife of a senior court official.

On Mother’s Day, it is said that the pastor posted a message on his Facebook page wishing the man’s wife and the mother-in-law the best of wishes.

The court official is believed to have confronted the Pastor, Andrew Masai Ndiema of Bethel Church Ministry in Matisi Corner after learning of the affair with his wife but ended up receiving threats.

However, when contacted for comment, the pastor denied ever issuing any threats to the husband.

He instead challenged the man to bear up with the situation after losing his wife.

“I have been summoned by the DCIO that I have issued threats. My simple advice is to let him accept as a man that his wife is gone,” Pastor Ndiema retorted.

And to add salt to injury, the woman, Debrah Miriam Edebi, also vowed not to go back to her husband, claiming that she had moved on.

“Let him go back to my parents and ask for his money now that my relationship with him is a closed chapter,” she remarked.

The court official claims that he married Miriam in 2017 under customary law and paid Ksh 150,000 as dowry.

Thursday May 23, 2019-Former MP Jakoyo Midiwo has dismissed proposals for Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru to become Deputy President in 2022.

Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Wednesday, Midiwo noted that Waiguru has a criminal mindset and she cannot make a good second in command.

He reminded those rooting for her to take the post to think twice lest Kenyans elect an irresponsible leader. He noted that Waiguru has proven that she is not competent to hold office after failing her people.

Midiwo, who has remained vocal on matters of national interest even after losing his seat, said that Waiguru has hit headlines over different issues including deaths of people at her backyard because of poor health provision.

He maintained that the former Cabinet Secretary is the last person anyone can propose to take the position in the 2022 general elections.

“I think Waiguru has criminal thoughts; she should be looking for help because her county is under siege and people are dying just because of simple management issues,” Midiwo said.

The remarks come after it emerged that Waiguru, who is also a former Cabinet Secretary for Devolution, was being considered for the DP position come 2022.

Thursday, May 23, 2019- Kenyan beauty queen, Rachel Marete, has taken to Instagram to narrate her struggle with stress and weight gain over the last 8 months.

The curvy lass revealed that she had to take a break from social media to deal with her sudden weight gain (36 Kgs) after a major life event left her wallowing in stress.

“From September to March I would stay awake all night till 9 in the morning every single day. As a result of the imbalance from stress, my cortisone levels shot up leading the massive weight gain in just 6 months,” read part of her post.

She has however managed to shed off over 20kgs and wants to inspire fellow ladies battling with weight issues.

So... this is why I have been missing since January guys... This is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to post. It’s scary putting myself out there like this and being so vulnerable. The short of it is I gained almost 40 kilos (80 lbs) between Sep 2018 and March 2019.

Around July last year I had a big life event happen to me and it just knocked the wind out of me. I was burned out. Perhaps it was an early 30s mid life crisis? 🤷🏾‍♀️. I started having trouble sleeping. From September to March I would stay awake all night till 9 in the morning every single day. As a result of the imbalance from stress, my cortisone levels shot up leading the massive weight gain in just 6 months. (Why can’t I be those people who lose weight when stressed? 😒🤦🏾‍♀️).

I held it together for a while but after my September Mexico trip that’s when the weight gain started. Come January I was so stressed out that I ended up shutting myself indoors and barely left my house. That’s when I quit social media too. I didn’t want to unravel in front of the world.

I’ll share more details about exactly what I did to lose the 20 kilos in 2 months since I have almost 20 more to go now. I’m posting this to show that none of us is perfect. Many of you would comment and say “goals” not knowing how sad I was inside and that I was spiraling from stress. This has been a super humbling journey. Now though, I feel blessed and grateful to have gone through it.

Sometimes we gotta fall really hard so we can get up and be our best selves.

Thursday May 23, 2019-Former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has warned Deputy President William Ruto over his continued stay in Jubilee Party, arguing that he may find himself without a party ahead of the 2022 polls.

Speaking during an interview with KTN on Wednesday, Ruto said the DP should have other plans to avoid last minute embarrassment, adding that people like David Murathe might kick him out.

"As things stand, he might find himself without a party. Jubilee has its owners. People like Murathe might kick him out. He must have other plans," Isaac Ruto stated.

Murathe resigned as Jubilee vice chairman early this year. He claimed that DP Ruto cannot succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta, adding that he's ready to start a movement with the aim of blocking Ruto's 2022 bid.

Last year while scrolling through my wife’s phone, I stumbled upon a message written to her by an unknown man.

I’m not sure how it happened because I normally do not go through her phone. When I asked about the issue, she said she did not know the person. That maybe it was a Kamiti prisoner who was sending random messages. I took her answer as a fact.

A few days later, she received a call from the same number while we were eating. She pretended not to know the man again. This time around, I was furious. I noted the number and called the man.

This is how he responded:

“Wewe kama umeshindwa na bibi utapangwa. Mimi nakusaidia kazi, shida yako ni nini?!!!”

I immediately hanged up and had a serious quarrel with my wife. Knowing that she had now become public property, I wanted to teach both of them a lesson.

I was bitter and wanted to make sure I had disciplined the two. I wanted to do anything to see them cry.

Thursday May 23, 2019-Rift Valley leaders have pledged to work and support Baringo Senator Gideon Moi for President come 2022, saying he is the best bet in eradicating corruption in the country.

Speaking yesterday, the leaders, led byElgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos and Moiben MP Silas Tiren, said they owe no one apologies over their association with KANU and Gideon Moi.

They said they will not stop associating with KANU and other parties and accused some Jubilee leaders of engaging in premature campaigns.

“Some people are saying I have joined Kanu but I have no problem with that,” Tolgos said in Kabiemit, Elgeyo Marakwet.

On the other hand, Tiren told the early campaigners to stop threatening leaders who have chosen to work with the President in the fight against corruption.

“It is annoying that some leaders are only thinking about the next election and not about the next generation that will suffer if corruption is not tamed,” Tiren said.

Thursday May 23, 2019-Deputy President William Ruto should pray for unity within Central Kenya region whether they will vote for him or not in 2022 presidential race; otherwise he can kiss State House goodbye.

This was revealed by former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto during an interview with KTN on Wednesday.

According to Chama Cha Mashinani leader, Mt. Kenya region must support a single candidate for DP Ruto to win Presidency; otherwise he will never become President.

This comes even as Mt. Kenya appears to be divided right in the middle over the support of Ruto in 2022; something that might cost the DP very dearly come 2022.

Earlier this Month, leaders from Mt. Kenya region championed for a Limuru Conference, in which they would discuss unity among themselves.

“We cannot be naive and go to the elections as a divided community. Such a meeting should be held in 2021. For now, let us support the President’s Big Four Agenda,” said Agriculture Minister Mwangi Kiunjuri.
