Sunday, December 02, 2012 - Chelsea interim manager Rafa Benitez admits he is not sure if he will last the season as Chelsea manager.

Since he succeeded Roberto di Matteo, Chelsea have continued their lackluster display that culminated in Saturday’s 3-1 defeat by West Ham United leaving the former Liverpool boss without a single point in three games in charge.

Juan Mata put Chelsea ahead early on, but strikes from Carlton Cole, Mo Diame and Modibo Maiga turned the game on its head.

The full-time whistle was greeted by booing and protests for the third game in a row from Chelsea fans, with a large section continuing to hold aloft posters demanding for Benitez to be sacked.

The result made for a tense post-match press conference, in which Benitez was greeted by a host of difficult questions - including a number about whether he fears he will be sacked less than a fortnight after taking charge.

Many of those were philosophically dealt with, but Benitez did finish up confessing he was not '100% sure' if he would still be the Chelsea boss by the end of the season.

“To win, it's simple - in the first half we had to score more goals,' he said.

“We know that football has two halves, the game has two halves. We had two or three chances and we could have scored two or three goals and finished the game.

“It would have been completely different, but we didn't do it. We have to improve.

Chants such as ‘you’re not wanted here’ and ‘you’re getting sacked in the morning’ are sure set to continue during the must win Champions League match against Nordsjaelland.

Meanwhile he counterpart Sam Allardyce said he had no sympathy for the Spaniard’s plight.

“We don't have sympathy for each other,' the West Ham manager said.

“We compete against each other. We play mind games against each other.

“You can’t do it; you can’t manage a team when the fans turn.
