Wednesday, the 30th of January 2013 - News just in indicates that Anthony Munga has been appointed to replace long serving Police spokesman Eric Kiraithe. Munga is to hold the position in an acting capacity.
The appointment comes just a few days after Kiraithe was chosen to be the new Chief of Security with the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA).
The changes were announced by the Chairman of the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) Johnstone Kavuludi a few minutes ago in a media briefing.
The other change announced by Kavuludi is the appointment of Charles Owino to head the Department of Internal Affairs. Until his appointment Owino was the assistant police spokesman. He has been replaced by Mary Wangui Omari.
