Tuesday, the 5th of March 2013 - The Kenyan DAILY POST has received reports of an explosion in the Eastleigh area of Nairobi.
The blast reportedly occurred along Muratina Road, an area that has already been the scene of at least five other terror attacks linked to Al Shabaab operatives or their sympathizers.
Reports are still trickling in but we understand that an emergency response team from the Kenya Red Cross is already on the scene.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that one injured person has been rushed to the Guru Nanak hospital.
Eastleigh is located just 15 minutes from the centre of Nairobi and its residents are predominantly Kenyans of Somali origin.
