Sunday, March 10, 2013 - The battle for the Player of the Year award is shaping up to be a three horse race between Liverpool ace Suarez, Robin Van Persie of Manchester United and free scoring Tottenham winger Gareth Bale.
However, former Liverpool great Jan Molby feels that the Uruguay hit-man is capable of doing things that the Manchester United striker and the Tottenham Hotspur winger can't.
Speaking to the Daily Star Molby said: "How is Suarez the outsider in a three-way battle with Robin van Persie and Bale?
"Bale is the favourite and he has been superb for Spurs recently but the season started in August. For me, it should be between Suarez and Van Persie, whose goals are firing Manchester United to the title.
"Suarez has been incredible and he does things the other two aren't capable of."
Suarez has been in scintillating form for the Reds scoring 28 goals in all competitions this season with 21 of them coming in the Premier League.
