Saturday, April 6, 2013– Olympic Champion and World 800 meters record-holder for, David Rudisha was the first Kenyan athlete to feature in an official International Olympic Committee (IOC) movie dubbed ‘First’ that premiered in 2012 in London.Rudisha was among 12 Olympians who featured in the movie - ‘First’ produced and directed by Caroline Rowland. The movie was the first Olympics movie to be released in the same year the games were being held. It opened to the worldwide audience on November 23rd 2012 and also features athletes Caroline Buchanan, Chad Le Clos, Miss Franklin among others.
He has made history by being the first person to ever run under time 1:41:00 and currently holds six of the eight fastest, ten of the 20 fastest and three fastest times ever run by a male in the event.
