Saturday, the 6th of April 2013 - Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka yesterday assured supporters of the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) that he and Prime Minister Raila Odinga would be making a political comeback in the near future.
Kalonzo made the comments while speaking at a farewell party he hosted for his Ministry employees at his Karen home.
The VP thanked those who had voted for CORD in the March 4thelections and told them to keep the faith as he and Raila plan for the future.
Kalonzo also called on President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta to unite Kenyans especially in the wake of the divisive campaign period and elections;
“The nation needs to forge ahead in unitary cord regardless of one’s ethnicity, colour or creed. It is therefore upon Uhuru’s team to build a unified nation,” he said.
The VP, who was accompanied by his wife Pauline Kathini, also waxed nostalgic saying he was glad to see how Kenya had grown democratically;
“I want to praise the evolution of Kenyan democracy. It is in the right path for greater future,” he said.
“It has been an exciting career for me in politics for the last 28 years and I am still strong in this calling of service to the people. All has been well and we thank God for everything,” he said.
