Monday April 15, 2013 - The Jubilee Government on Saturday instructed Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo to ensure that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka have 2 chase cars and 12 armed guards each.
This came after a State House meeting where Raila and Kalonzo attended on Saturday, where they requested Uhuru and Ruto to maintain their guards since there were senior public officers in the Kibaki administration.
Uhuru and Ruto agreed that since Raila and Kalonzo are senior politicians they should have chase cars.
Also, Uhuru and Ruto promised the two election losers that they will initiate a Bill in Parliament that will grant the two octogenarians a good send off package.
If the Bill is passed, Raila and Kalonzo will earn Sh 20 million each and a pension of 80 percent of their current salary if Parliament approves the Bill.
