Sunday December 9, 2018-Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), George Kinoti, has warned politicians who have started politicising the ongoing war against corruption.

Already a number of Kalenjins leaders led by Nandi Senator, Samson Cherargei and Aldai MP, Cornelius Serem had claimed that the ongoiing corruption  purge is targeting members of the Kalenjin community.

But addressing journalists on Friday, Kinoti said the war on corruption will continue despite noise from Kalenjin community noisemakers.

“There are those who used to think that they are untouchables, and now we want to be told who is this that can steal from the public and no one will touch him/her,”

"There is nobody who is going to stop this; and we will go the whole hog. In a year, I promise you, this is going to be a different country,” Kinoti said urging Kenyans to expect more arrest of state officers who engages in corruption.

Sunday December 9, 2018-Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, has surprised Kenyans after he criticised the appointment of Queens Counsel, Prof Khawar Qureshi‘s to the Director of Public Prosecutions office.

DPP, Noordin Haji appointed Qureshi to prosecute Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu in abuse of office case on December 4.

But Murkomen on Sunday said the move by DPP showed mistrust on the Kenyan lawyers.

"If the DPP mistrusts all Kenyan Lawyers, he should just have led by example and prosecute the case himself," Murkomen said on Twitter.

"The idea of getting a foreign advocate to prosecute domestic cases just before our Independence Day is totally misguided." Murkomen added.

Murkomen, who is a close confidante of Deputy President William Ruto ,spoke at a time a number of high profile state officers have been arrested over corruption.

See what RUTO has been doing to KALENJIN CEOS who are in the government – NO WONDER they are arrested by KINOTI like pigs

Sunday December 9,2018-Nandi Hills MP, Alfred Keter has said Deputy President William Ruto should take the blame over arrest of Kalenjin community state officers who are accused of engaging in corruption.

For the last six months a number of Kalenjin community professionals have been arrested and arraigned in court for stealing public money.

Those arrested and arraigned in court includes former Kenya Power chief executives Ken Tarus and Ben Chumo, former National Cereals and Produce Board head Newton Terer,  former national hospital insurer head Simeon Kirgotty and Kenya Pipeline Company MD, Joe Sang.

Though some leaders like Nandi Senator , Samson Cherargei have been claiming  that the prosecutions has been targeting Kalejin community , Keter believes that  the professionals have been stealing from public to fund Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.

“Nobody is targeting anybody. The unfortunate part is that some of these Kalenjin CEOs and heads of parastatals are being used to fund 2022 campaigns, with set money targets to be given weekly, and monthly. They have been forced to do unscrupulous activities to meet these targets,” said Keter.

The vocal MP also termed as “complete false” the narrative that only Kalenjins were being targeted, saying: “It is just that our sons and daughters’ careers are being sacrificed for the sake of an individual’s own political agenda.”

Monday December 10, 2018-Rarieda MP, Otiende Amollo, has said the current predicament facing many Kelenjins within the Government is a manifestation of how unfair positions have been distributed by the Jubilee regime.

In a statement on social media, Amollo was emphatic that if the positions were fairly distributed, then the spirited war against graft would touch corrupt leaders from all the 43 tribes and not just Kalenjins who are currently the most affected in the war against corruption.

"That many Kalenjin CEOs are facing graft charges is not ethnic targeting.”

“It is testament to how unfairly the distribution of these plum positions has been, otherwise we’ed be seeing equal opportunity prosecutions across the 43 tribes," said Amollo.

This comes after Kalenjin leaders warned DPP, Noordin Haji, to stop profiling their community in the guise of fighting corruption.
