Tuesday, the 22nd of January 2012 - The Kenyan DAILY POST has received reports from sources in Othaya that there is tension in the town this evening after it emerged that Mary Wambui has been locked out the race to replace President Mwai Kibaki as area MP.
Wambui was reportedly blocked from the race even though she is said to have soundly beaten her opponent Mugambi Gichuki in the TNA nominations.
Unconfirmed reports say that Mugambi Gichuki has already been handed the nomination certificate by TNA. Mugambi Gichuki enjoyed the support of Kibaki’s son Jimmy Kibaki.
Wambui has already reacted to the reports and has vowed to fight TNA on the matter. By this evening Mary Wambui was in the final list that was meant to be submitted to IEBC so it is hard to understand why the name disappeared.
