Saturday January 26, 2013 - Prime Minister Raila Odinga will today start his three -day campaign tour to North Rift, an area perceived to be Eldoret North MP William Ruto’s backyard.
The PM, who jetted into the country from Davos, Switzerland on Friday evening, will start his tour on Saturday morning where he will hold a major rally at 64 Stadium in Eldoret town.
ODM chairman Henry Kosgei said preparations for Raila’s visit have been finalised.
Kosgei said the PM will first meet with Kalenjin elders and other community leaders, who have prepared a memorandum.
Kosgei said Ministers from the Kalenjin community allied to Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) will lead the PM’s campaigns in the region.
Meanwhile, Raila’s political rival Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta will today lead other Jubilee leaders in vote hunting mission in Kilifi County.
Uhuru and his running mate William Ruto will hold several rallies in Kilifi and Malindi before holding a major rally at Changamwe on Sunday.
