Saturday, April 27,2013 - Leaders and professionals from the Kisii community have welcomed the nomination of Dr Fred Matiang’i as Cabinet Secretary in charge of ICT, saying they will reciprocate by voting President Uhuru Kenyatta as a bloc in the 2017 General Election.
Addressing a Kisii community forum in Kisii town on Friday, chairman of Kisii County Welfare Association Elkana Onyando, and the professionals thanked President Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto for nominating one of their own into the Cabinet.
“The nomination of Matiang’i is good for the youth of this country and the community is grateful for his appointment. We thank Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto for appointing him,” Onyando said.
Also, Law Society of Kenya (local chapter Chairman) Momanyi Aunga said Matiangi’s was best suited for the job as he understands the dynamics of ICT
