Wednesday, December 05, 2018 - A US private equity firm is giving Kenyans an opportunity to relocate to the so called land of the free home.
The Atlantic American Partners which is certified by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services Department to give assistance to those applying for the EB-5 visa is currently in Kenya looking for interested locals.
Kenyans willing to invest Ksh 51 million (approx $500k) will be given an investor Visa to live in the US.
Apparently, more than 100 Kenyans had already shown interest.
“This kind of visa is gaining popularity especially from those people who want to educate their children in the US where public schools are of high quality and free of charge," the firm’s Managing Director, Daniel Ryan, stated.
“About 100 Kenyan have shown interest, and we have lined up to 50 meetings in the next three weeks. We will also do two meetings at a couple of private members clubs in the city,”
Those who qualify will be offered permanent residence and will be permitted to move with their spouses and all unmarried children under the age of 21.
Annually, thousands of Kenyans migrate to the US, with majority going either using student visas or the diversity visa lottery popularly known as Green Card lottery.
Wednesday December 5, 2018 - President Uhuru Kenyatta surprised Kenyan youths on Wednesday after he appointed former Vice President, Moody Awori, as a member of the Sports, Art and Social Development Fund board.
In a Gazette Notice dated November 28th, Finance CS Henry Rotich noted that the board will be made up of five Principal Secretaries from the Ministries of Education, Arts, Health, National Treasury and Sports.
Moody, 91, will work alongside Athletics Kenya boss, Jackson Tuwei.
The board is expected to manage the fund, prepare and submit quarterly reports to Rotich.
But Moody's appointment has been received with rage by many Kenyans who asked President Uhuru Kenyatta why he is marginalizing the youth by appointing fossils and dinosaurs to represent the youth.
Blogger Robert Alai said Moody's appointment is an insult to the youth of this country.
“Moody Awori getting appointed on boards is a GREAT insult to the youth of this country by @UKenyatta. How does someone support this? Methuselah!” Robert Alai said.
Wednesday December 5, 2018 - A close confidante of Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Joho, has told a Mombasa court that he is unable to get a wife because of claims initiated by Principal Secretary, Nelson Marwa, that he sells drugs.
According to Harub Khatri, Marwa destroyed his name when he named him as one of the drug peddlers in Mombasa when Marwa was the Coast Regional Coordinator.
Khatri, who is also the Mombasa County Speaker, was making these remarks when he appeared before Justice Dorcas Chepkwony to make his application in a defamation case he had sued Marwa.
“I am young and not married, and I have lost two lovers after they read bad things about me on the internet," he said.
Khatri further stated that Marwa went ahead to print papers with his photo, placing a bounty of Sh2 million for anyone who would provide information leading to his arrest.
Khatri was eventually arrested in Mombasa in connection with alleged drugs trade and illegal possession of weapons.

Wednesday, December 05, 2018- Police have arrested a man and his daughterin connection with the brutal murder of a businessman in Nanyuki, Laikipia County.
Charles Macharia and his daughter Jane Wanjiku, a waitress at a hotel in Nanyuki, were nabbed on Tuesday.
Detectives from DCI, who were acting on a tip-off, laid an ambush and arrested them at a petrol station in Kirwara, Gatanga Constituency in Murang’a County.
The two suspects were found in possession of a car stolen from the deceased and electronic goods stolen from the deceased were found in the house belonging to the suspects.
“Detectives acted swiftly on receiving information about the stolen car & laid an ambush. After a short while, it was spotted being driven to a Petrol Station in Kirwara, Gatanga & the driver (Charles Macharia) arrested. "The vehicle & all stolen electronics from the deceased recovered,” said the DCI in a tweet on Tuesday evening.
“The suspects were found in possession of the deceased’s motor vehicle and other electronics in their house in Gatanga.”
Reports indicate that one of the suspects, Jane Wanjiku is believed to have been the girlfriend of the deceased and was a frequentvisitor at his home.
The body of the deceased businessman, George Gachibi, was found lying in a pool of blood on Tuesday at 9 am by his employees.
The body of the deceased was moved to Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary while the two suspects were detained at Thika Police Station.

The model by the name Jodie Carnall quit her office job and started selling her flesh on social media platforms like SnapChat and she is making a killing.
Speaking to BBC, the lady who refers to herself as a Snapchat Premium girl, charges a monthly fee of between £20 (Sh2600) and £200 (Sh26,000) to her subscribers and makes up to £4,000 (Sh500k) a month.
She, however, stated that she doesn’t meet clients for sex although she gets offers from men.
She said:“People call me ‘slut’ and things like that. And it does upset me. I get a message like that every hour, or every half an hour, all day long.”
“It’s like a proper business. It’s like people that sing, or go and gig, or artists that sell their own paintings.”
“I’m just selling pictures and videos of me.”
“I’m not an escort. I’ve been offered thousands of pounds to meet men and I say ‘no’.”
Several ladies including Kenyan women have jumped into this new venture and they are making good money as well.
A case in point is this Luo lady who sells her raunchy videos to thirsty men via WhatsApp.
