Tuesday January 8, 2019 - President Uhuru Kenyatta referred to Central Kenya political leaders and the electorate (to some extent) as washenzi (idiots) on Monday after they questioned his development record in the area perceived as his political bedrock.

Uhuru, who was speaking in Mombasa during the launch of Mama Ngina Drive Waterfront project, said he will not be intimidated by some Central Kenya politicians who thrive in political confusion.

“I, my friends, am not one to be easily intimidated. Especially when I know the path I have taken and where I want to go is the best place for Kenya,” visibly agitated Uhuru said.

Uhuru spoke a week after Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria, criticized him claiming Mt Kenya region had been ignored because the President was busy initiating projects in regions that did not even vote for Jubilee.

Following the war of words between Uhuru and Kuria, former Kakamega Senator, Dr Boni Khalwale, has revealed the politician who is behind Uhuru’s sudden change of character.

He said since the time of the handshake with NASA leader, Raila Odinga, Uhuru has sunk low to a level of engaging with junior politicians like Kuria.

“Raila has confused Uhuru and he is now engaging with junior politicians like Kuria. He needs to come out from that prison that he was taken by Raila after the handshake,” Khalwale told journalists on Tuesday.

Tuesday, January 08, 2019- Kenyans woke up on Tuesday morning to the sad news of the passing on of former Chairperson of Youth Enterprise Fund and veteran music producer, Bruce Odhiambo.

Bruce died at Nairobi Hospital where he had been admitted in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after his blood pressure shot through the roof.

In November 2018, Bruce had flown to India for a routine replacement of a pacemaker implanted in his heart to help manage irregular heartbeats.

During his time at the Youth Fund, Bruce was accused of looting the kitty meant to empower the youth.

He becomes the third person at the helm of Youth Fund scandal to die after Catherine Namuye; both died of heart related complications and the fund’s driver who was found murdered at a pool in Mombasa.

President Uhuru, who was his friend and former classmate at St Mary's School Nairobi is among Kenyans who have paid tribute to him on social media.

However, a lady has sensationally claimed that the late Bruce was no saint accusing him of sexually preying on upcoming female musicians.

She went to narrate that Bruce was untouchable due to his friendship with senior government officials including the President.

The very reason Kikuyu's woke up at 3am and lined up enmasse to vote for Uhuru, was because they were assured that Uthamaki was theirs and they would benefit immensely from his leadership.

They were told their businesses will thrive and development projects sent their way. Turns out Uhuru was referring to his own Enke Management Limited, which is the holding company for his family's companies like Brookside Dairies, Heritage Hotels, Media Max, and the likes.

Congratulations Kikuyu's. You've been played! This is a confirmation that the jigger menace has literally reached your brains. You have jiggers in your heads.

And I kept telling you that Uhuru doesn't have your interests at heart. He's only there for his family. Lakini nyinyi mkasema oh Nyakundi, oh oh oh. Whose laughing now?

Sasa amemuita Washenzi. Mta-do? Nyinyi ni ma-Umbwa. You'll continue praising him and calling him anointed by God. Because you're stupid! Brainwashed monkeys. Hata panya ziko na akili mob kumliko. Utamuona amekuja church na kujifanya mpole.

    Nyinyi hamuezi saidika!

Tuesday, January 8, 2019 - President Uhuru Kenyatta has sparked the emotions of Kikuyus who turned up in large numbers to vote for him after he made a statement in Mombasa yesterday that has caused a heated debate.

Uhuru referred to Kikuyu leaders like Moses Kuria and their followers who have been complaining that he has developed  other areas and neglected  Central Kenya as “Washenzi”.

Do you remember this ardent Jubilee supporter who was captured on camera in a Jubilee rally during the heated campaigns holding a bread that represented full ownership of Uhuru Kenyatta’s Government?

She probably woke up very early to vote for Uhuru only to be called a Mshenzi.

Wednesday January 9, 2019-Barely hours after Bahati Member of Parliament, Kimani Ngunjiri, staged a protest in Nakuru over 'Washenzi' remarks by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto has come out to defend him over Jubilee development record.

In his tweets yesterday, Ruto said the President and him have done tremendously well in terms of development, and assured the Jubilee party members that the Government would ensure no region or community is left behind in terms of development.

This is after a section of Jubilee members accused Uhuru of sidelining some regions in terms of development; a remark that prompted the President to insult the leaders holding such views.

"After projects promised for decades became a reality under Jubilee, many Kenyans especially Jubilee members understandably are asking us for more," wrote the DP.

“This must be tempered with the reality of what we can afford.”

“No region, community or Kenyan will be left behind now or in future," he added.

The DP further cautioned Jubilee members to respect the Presidency and follow protocol while addressing Uhuru.

“Jubilee members must however use appropriate mechanism to channel matters concerning us and avoid unnecessary negative debates that only undermine the party, the party leadership and the President," cautioned Ruto.

Wednesday January 9, 2019-Rebellion against President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Jubilee administration over underdevelopment of some parts of the country is growing by the day.

This is after a section of youths from Baringo County also staged a protest, demonstrating against Jubilee Government’s underdevelopment of the county despite the region having overwhelmingly voted for Uhuru and Deputy President William Ruto in the last two general elections.

The youth leaders from the county also lectured Uhuru, lamenting that the presence of NASA leader Raila Odinga’s presence in Government since his handshake with the President has resulted in confusion in the leadership of the country.

Speaking to members of the press at Kabarnet town on Tuesday, the youths blamed Uhuru and Raila's Building Bridges Initiative, saying it had led to discrimination in development projects across the country.

“We voted for Jubilee in 2013 and 2017, but our roads are poor roads and we lack water.”

“Other people are benefiting, it seems like a game is being played somewhere,” said Robert Kipkorir.

The youths asked Uhuru to respect their votes and do away with Raila Odinga because they rejected him 2017 and bring Ruto closer to him.

"We do not understand what Raila Odinga is doing in Government; his presence has caused a lot of confusion in Jubilee party.”

“If the President has chosen to leave out Ruto and work with Raila, then, the Government should be dismissed so that we elect new leaders," said Almeida Yabei.

Wednesday January 9, 2019-Former Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister, Martha Karua, has weighed in on the debate on whether Deputy President William Ruto is legible to vie for Presidency in 2022.

In a tweet yesterday, the NARC Kenya leader said DP was legible and had a right to vie for the top seat in 2022.

She noted that Ruto's legibility for Presidential seat could not be limited by the fact that he would have served as Kenya's deputy president for 10 years like President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"Constitutionally a Deputy President can vie for President despite having served for two terms as Deputy.”

The debate on whether or not Ruto is eligible to run for President in 2022 was sparked by Jubilee Party former Vice Chairman, David Murathe, who has vowed to stop him by any means necessary on the basis that he would have already served his two terms alongside Uhuru by 2022.

Wednesday January 9, 2019-A woman was arrested after she was caught with Kitui County Government’s money stashed in carton and hid in her house.

Police recovered the bundles of cash after ransacking her house after obtaining a search warrant.

They acted after reports indicated that the woman had been hiding the county’s funds to the tune of Kshs100 million instead of taking it to the bank.

Speaking on the arrest, County Police Commandant, Anthony Kamitu, stated that the police were forced to act after the allegations of a woman hiding cash in her house emerged.

“Those are serious allegations and we had to apply for a search warrant, which we got on Monday,” Kamitu stated.

This comes as Director of Public Prosecutions, Noordin Haji, and Directorate of Criminal Investigations, George Kinoti, has intensified war against corruption as we can only feel pity for the poor woman.

Wednesday, January 9, 2019-Former Youth Fund Chairman, Bruce Odhiambo, went through hell before he died on Monday at Nairobi Hospital where he was admitted at ICU.

Before Bruce’s a death, a close friend had posted a message giving details on his ill health and asking for prayers.

The Former Youth Fund Chairman was rushed to hospital on Christmas day after his blood pressure went too low and admitted to ICU where he stayed for about 2 weeks before he died.

His family had to be called for prayers and counseling after doctors saw that he couldn’t make it.

What Bruce went through before he died can’t be wished even to the  worst enemy.

Here’s what his close  friend posted before he died.

“Our friend Bruce Odhiambo has been unwell since October, when he went to India for replacement of the pacemaker, and he developed lots of complications after he returned in November. The body reacted to the new medication he was given, and he got blisters on his hands and legs, which became septic.

On Christmas Day, his blood pressure went too low, so he had to be rushed to the ICU and he was also kept in seclusion for the wounds to be treated well. His BP has never stabilised, thus really affected the functioning of the pacemaker, and they couldn’t do dialysis because his heart was quite weak.

“On Saturday morning, 4am, he suffered a massive cardiac arrest, and he had to be put on full life support. His family had to be called in for counseling and prayers, too, but this morning, his BP fell further to a low of 54, and the family was called in again.”

“As I write this, it’s risen again marginally to 112, and we hope it will stabilise... He’s really put up a good fight so please let’s keep praying for his recovery... Today (Monday), he is still in a bad state and the BP is down again ( 44 ). The only thing that’s keeping even the nurses hopeful is the fact that he’s still conscious and they’ve given him everything to the maximum, till they can’t go beyond the current limits. We keep praying.”

Wednesday January 9, 2019-The 2022 succession politics is getting hotter by the day with former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo also seemingly interested in the Presidency.

Speaking during an interview on Kameme FM, Kabogo said he is seriously considering going for the top seat.

Although the former Kiambu boss noted that it was still early to start politicking about the next general election, he promised to make his formal announcement at a later date.

"I might be on the ballot in 2022 but as I have repeatedly said it is early to start talking about an election which is four years away.”

“We have just come out of another poll, now is time to work," Kabogo said.

On whether he considers working with Deputy President William Ruto, Kabogo said he was ready to work with him but said it should not be conditional.

"If we agree on where we want to take this country we can work together, but I should not be told I must be his deputy, he can as well be my running mate," he said.

Wednesday January 9, 2019-Narc Kenya chairperson, Martha Karua, has said she cannot support Deputy President William Ruto presidential bid in 2022.

In an exclusive interview with Citizen TV on Wednesday, Karua said some of the challenges facing the DP cannot allow her to do so.

“Those are my personal views and there are many issues and some of them surround involve Chapter 6 of the constitution,” Karua said.

“The public issues and public scandals he has been involved in are just too much day by day!” Karua added.

However, Karua said she wholly supports President Uhuru Kenyatta especially on the implementation of Big Four Agenda projects.

“To support them (President Kenyatta and DP Ruto) as a duo was a difficult decision. His choice of a deputy was his not mine,” she said.

On the handshake between President Uhuru and National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga, Karua said she supports the initiative saying this is one way of uniting Kenyans.
