Friday January 11, 2019-Former Njoro MP, Joseph Kiuna, has waded into the murky debate about Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 Presidential ambitions, warning Kalenjins not to dare Kikuyus.

In a statement yesterday, Kiuna Kalenjins that they will deal with them ruthlessly if they continue pushing them to support Ruto’s 2022 bid.

He said the Kikuyu community was not ready to forgive again like it did after the 2007/2008 post election violence witnessed across Kenya following former president Mwai Kibaki's win.

He told off the Kalenjin community, saying the community will not bow to threats of violence.

"I want to warn you that everything has an end and we have been pushed to the wall for reasons I don’t Know.”

“But they should know if this is the kind of game they want us to play, we know how to play it better than them," he said.

"In 2007/2008 we forgave you but we have not forgotten.”

“You can't slaughter our people, destroy our properties then come here to threaten us to vote for you in 2022.”

“You will pay the life of our people before telling us of political debts," he added.

Friday January 11, 2019-The Kikuyu council of elders have broken their silence over the ongoing debate regarding the 2022 succession politics.

In a statement, the elders called on politicians to immediately desist from 2022 succession politics, saying the trend was impeding development.

The elders under, Kikuyu Cultural Elders Association, said heightening political temperatures surrounding succession of President Uhuru Kenyatta by his Deputy William Ruto were a threat to the calm Kenya has enjoyed for the past one year.

The elders further said it was unusually early for DP Ruto and his politicians to commence campaigns for an election which was more than three years away.

Led by the association's Chairman, Ndung’u Gaiduma, they said as elders, they were perturbed and worried by the bubbling political temperatures experienced in the 2019, terming the situation a disruption of social and economic progress.

 "As elders we strongly believe it is too early to engage in politics of 2022.”

“Most of recent political utterances don't auger well with our country's prospective.”

“Jubilee’s manifesto points and the Big Four Agenda are yet to be implemented and that is where our focus should be," said Ndung'u.

Friday, January 11, 2019-Embattled Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria, had zero chills when he held a press conference at Parliament Buildings to clear the air on whether he had handed over his resignation letter to the Speaker.

The visibly angry and worried Kuria blasted one of the vernacular journalists who asked him whether the speech he read in English was available in Kikuyu.

“Go and hire translators in your newsroom. You want me to give you the speech Kikuyu so that you can go and misreport ” Kuria told the journalist.

Friday, January 11, 2019-Fiery Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria, lashed out at The Star Newspaper journalists  for spreading gossip that he had handed over his resignation letter to the speaker.

Kuria called a press conference at Parliament Buildings and attempted to chase Star journalists from the presser.

“Any journalist from the Star here? Get out of my press conference. You are practicing prostitute journalism” the visibly angry MP yelled.

The Star was the first to break out news that Kuria had resigned but it turned out to be a lie.

Friday, January 11, 2019- Shocking details have emerged over the death of Prof Abel Gitau Mugenda, the husband to former Kenyatta University vice Chancellor and Commissioner of Judicial service Commission, Prof Olive Mugenda.

Prof Mugenda, who was a lecturer of statistics and research at USIU and a renowned scholar, was said to have died of short illness.

However, it has emerged that the late academician may have committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of a popular hotel in Nyeri Town.

A source intimates to us that Professor had checked into the White Rhino hotel on January 2 and was staying alone.

And on January 5, the day he died, a man jumped from the sixth floor of the hotel and died on the sport but the incident was not reported.

Police suspect the Saturday 5am incident is a possible suicide because CCTV camera shows the deceased's movement before his death.

On the same day, a surveillance camera captured the professor leaving his room on the fourth floor and going up the stairs before jumping to his death.

Detectives handling the case confirmed that the don had injuries on his body and suspected suicide but did not wish to be named.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is among those who mourned the late academician describing him as a ‘patriot who dedicated his life to serving the country through his skills, knowledge and talent despite his great achievements and exposure to other opportunities outside Kenya.”

Friday, January 11, 2019-Former Njoro MP, Joseph Kiuna, has been put on the spot after he was recorded inciting Kikuyus who live in Njoro, following recent clashes between Kalenjins and Kikuyus,  that have left several people dead.

Kiuna spoke to the press and  reminded Kalenjins how they butchered Kikuyus in 2007 during post election violence  and warned them that this time round, things are going to get worse.

The former Legislator warned Kalenjins that Kikuyus are now prepared and dared them to bring war.

He further told Ruto that Kikuyus have no political debt to pay in 2022 and accused him of fuelling violence ahead of 2022 elections.

The former MP has been summoned to record statement over the hate remarks.

Friday January 11, 2019-Bahati lawmaker, Kimani Ngunjiri, has defended his harshness towards President Uhuru Kenyatta as has been witnessed in the past one week.

In an interview on Radio Jambo on Thursday morning, Ngunjiri ruled out any chances of sparing Uhuru.

He wondered why Uhuru would insult him when he questioned his closeness with Opposition Leader, Raila Odinga.

Besides, he said that his age gives him the right to be harsh towards the President, adding that he is a senior to Uhuru both in terms of age and political experience.

"Uhuru ni mtoto mdogo sana kwangu (Uhuru is my junior), I am 68 years old meaning that he is younger.”

“I have also been in politics for longer than him.”

“How am I supposed to address him?" wondered Ngunjiri.

The defiant Jubilee MP vowed he will not be hushed by forces out to blindly defend a continuity of dynastic leadership.

"Natukanwa maana babangu hakuwa Chifu ama headman (I am being insulted merely because I do not belong to a political dynasty)," he claimed.

Friday January 11, 2019-Moments after Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria, was beaten into submission following his recent outburst against President Uhuru Kenyatta’s development record in Central Kenya that almost forced him to quit as an MP as a result of backlash from his backyard over his remarks, details have emerged regarding the people who talked him out of it.

According to sources, former Jubilee Vice Chairman, David Murathe, and President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Njee Muturi, forced Kuria to rescind the decision to resign.

The sources revealed that Kuria was with Murathe on Tuesday night until 3am to discuss the resignation and reportedly talked him out of it. 

Murathe and Muturi allegedly told Kuria that resignation would embarrass Uhuru and it would appear as though he was forcing the vocal legislator from his backyard to quit.

Kuria had accused Uhuru of neglecting Central Kenya in terms of development.

Friday January 11, 2019-Deputy President William Ruto yesterday hosted a crisis meeting at his Karen home amid the ongoing political drama in the Jubilee Party.

The meeting came barely two days after the DP came out strongly in defense of President Uhuru Kenyatta over the Jubilee’s development record and his promised to support his 2022 bid.

This is even as his trusted allies continued to defend his 2022 campaigns, insisting that the President had a political debt to repay Ruto come 2022.

Friday January 11, 2019-Elders from Mt. Kenya have prevailed upon their leaders to conduct themselves in line with the community's ordinances.

This follows the recent outburst by some Mt. Kenya MPs directed at President Uhuru Kenyatta, accusing him of neglecting the region in terms of development.

The elders warned leaders to respect the President as he is the symbol of national unity.

"Leaders and all Kenyans need to respect the presidency which is inclusive of Deputy President William Ruto.”

“They should desist from uttering words in bad taste to undermine Presidency," said Dominic Mbatia, an elder.

"The President's job is to impose national values and politicians have obligations to respect institutions.”

“The President is a symbol of national unity and leaders need to provide him with and his Deputy environment to work well," he added.

At the same time, the elders distanced themselves from resigned Jubilee party Vice Chairperson, David Murathe, that Uhuru had no pact with Ruto to support the latter's presidential ambition in 2022.

"Murathe is entitled to his own opinion and we respect his views.”

“However, what he said was just that, his personal opinion not community's position," he said.

Friday, January 11, 2019- K24 news anchor Betty Kyallo is on the receiving end from Kenyans on social media for dancing to Khaligraph Jones’s explicit song dubbed ‘Miti’.

From the short clip that has gone viral online, the K24 presenter is seen dancing awkwardly and blushing alongside Khaligraph Jones as he freestyles the vulgar lyrics.

The screen siren has been trolled heavily for endorsing such a lewd and ratchet song given that she’s supposed to be a role model for young girls.

Radio personality Masawe Japani reacted to the video with disgust.

She wrote: ““How do I even announce this song on-air???? Support Kenyan music activists leteni opinions na mawe.. @bettymuteikyallo what’s there to dance to?

Friday January 11, 2019-City lawyer, Ahmednasir Abdullahi, is one of the most respected lawyers we have in the country.

Having joined legal profession in early 1990s, Ahmednasir has proved to be one of the most brilliant legal minds we have in the country.

But his conduct lately has raised speculations on whether he is the sharp lawyer we know or he is just a street lawyer like Kipchumba Murkomen.

On Thursday, Ahmednasir took to his Twitter account and bashed a tea boy who served him tea when he visited Suna East Junet Mohamed’s office in Nairobi.

Although the lawyer in his Tweet did not disclose when he was at Junet's office, he says the visit was warm though he did not like what transpired later.

“Some Kenyans have no protocol. For instance, Junet Mohamed is a man I have a lot of time and respect and we discuss many issues. When I visit his office the boy who runs around like headless chicken serving me chai [tea] and mandazi wants me to engage him on Twitter like we are peers." Ahmednasir wrote.

But in a rejoinder, Junet said the man who served him tea has a masters degree from one of the most reputable institution and he should not underrate him.

“This man who served you tea and mandazi in my office has masters in terms of academic qualifications and went to one of the best schools in Migori County called Kanga high school and not a village school named after certain elder in Mandera County like you. Kindly be careful,"Junet posted on Twitter.

Friday January 11, 2019-As the debate regarding the 2022 succession politics rages on, anti-Deputy President William Ruto’s team within the Jubilee Party has given him three demands they want to be met before they can support him for President in 2022.

The team which has been nicknamed Team Kitaeleweka and mostly comprises of politicians from President Uhuru Kenyatta's Central Kenya backyard, warned Ruto against expecting an automatic backing from the area.

They told the DP to first convince them to back him, arguing that they are yet to be convinced to support Ruto as he has not given them any tangible reason to rank him above others hopefuls.  

"For Dr. Ruto to support Uhuru in 2013, the President made several promises, which he kept.”

“What has Ruto promised us in 2022 so we can support him?” wondered Nyeri Town MP and leader of Team Kitaeleweka, Ngunjiri Wambugu.

Secondly, Team Kitaeleweka wants Ruto assure the entire nation that he will remain peaceful even if the region disowns its initial promise to support his bid and opt elsewhere.

Lastly, the team wants Ruto to call for calm among his allies who have been campaigning for him ahead of time and give the President time to complete his term.

Friday January 11, 2019-Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria, has claimed his life is in danger and urged Kenyans to pray for his safety.

In an interview with Citizen TV on Thursday, Kuria said some people have been threatening to kill him like former Nyandarua MP, Josiah Mwangi Kariuki, popularly known as JM

JM was killed in 1975 after he opposed the ideologies of First President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.

Now Kuria said the assassins are sending him messages telling him that they will eliminate him like JM Kariuki.

“I have been receiving all sorts of funny calls people telling me that I will end up like JM Kariuki," Kuria claimed.

However, he rubbished the threats as attempts by political opportunists to take him down.

The rubble rouser politician noted that he has since shared the information with the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).

"These are mischievous people taking the opportunity to settle scores. However, I have shared the information with the DCI for investigations," he said.

Time and time again, the mother of five has proved that she’s the undisputed queen of clap backs with her savage responses to trolls.

This guy by the name Odima happens to have a crush on Akothee and took to social media to make his feelings known.

The guy made it clear that he is not wealthy but promised to shower her with his rich love.

“I don’t have money but I want to marry you, how will I get in touch? Please, I’m serious, I have been crushing on you since 2015 my sweetheart, I’m madly in love with you.”

Respond, Akothee did, and it is as savage as they come.
