Friday, May 24, 2019 - A leaked phone conversation of Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko lashing out at President Uhuru Kenyatta’s advisers and Senior Government officials has emerged.

Trouble started when Embakasi South MP, Julius Mawathe, called him and informed him that there was a planned eviction of the residents of Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums after some Indians went to court and obtained an order allowing them to evict the poor slums dwellers in the area.

Apparently, the Indians claim they own the land in the informal settlement.

Sonko went mad and said that no eviction will take place as long as he is alive.

He dared the Indians to go ahead with the demolitions if at all they have the balls.

In the 9 minute leaked phone conversation, Sonko lashes out at President Uhuru Kenyatta’s advisers and Senior Government officials for misadvising him.

He says that Uhuru Kenyatta is a good man but the people surrounding him make him look bad.

This leaked phone conversation is just interesting.

Friday, May 24, 2019 - Gospel rapper, Ekodyda, has broken up with his curvaceous wife, Cynthia, after 9 years of marriage.

Rumours of Ekodyda’s troubled marriage surfaced 3 months ago but he downplayed them and insisted that his marriage is still okay.

But the rapper’s wife has confirmed they are no longer an item.

According to Cynthia, the rapper has been cheating on him with her best friend.

While speaking in an interview after revealing that she decided to walk out of her troubled marriage over infidelity, Cynthia said,

“Whether negative or positive, the truth is that I have to move on. I want the world to know that Eko Dydda and I are no longer living  together. I walked out because of infidelity,” she said.

Cynthia further revealed that the rapper has been lying in the media that they still live together.

“Whatever he is going to the media saying that we are together is a lie. I live in a separate place with the kids and I want the world to know that after nine years, I have finally left the marriage. I want him to start afresh with the woman he is with”

Cynthia claims that her best friend wrecked her marriage and warned women against trusting their friends.

“The world should also know that not every woman should be trusted because I trusted my best friend only to know she was finding her way in my marriage. I don’t want to live a lie where we lie to people that we are together and yet we are not. This has to stop and he doesn’t have to go to interviews mentioning “Oooh my family this and that”. The negativity he is refusing to talk about is because he is the cause of it,” she added.

Cynthia married Ekodyda when he was struggling in the slums of Mathare.

She had stuck with him through thick and thin but he turned into a chameleone after getting fame and money.

Hospitals are poorly equipped and are far apart.

Friday May 24, 2019 - Deputy President William Ruto has sensationally claimed that some men in Harambee House and State House are trying to block his presidential bid in 2022.

Last week, social media was awash with news that Dr Ruto had a scuffle with Interior PS Karanja Kibicho at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and the president has since demanded to know what transpired.

While on Kameme FM on Thursday, Ruto conceded for the first time that not everybody at the Presidency was comfortable with him, adding that some are keen to see him backsliding.

“We are leading a Government which is bound to have people of different characters. There are those who are sly and cannot be trusted,” Ruto said.

The DP also maintained that he's not owed anything by Mt Kenya region noting that every Kenyan has a right to make independent decisions on their leadership without coercion.

“I have said before and I want to repeat again that there is no region in this country that owes me anything.”

“There is nothing like repaying a debt that some people have been talking about,” Ruto said.

Friday May 24, 2019 - Former Sports Cabinet Secretary, Rashid Echesa, has made a passionate appeal to President Uhuru Kenyatta to forgive him three months after his sacking from the Cabinet over incompetence and gross misconduct.

Echesa insisted that nearly three months since his sacking, he was yet to understand why the President fired him.

However, he did not rule out that his sacking had something to do with his support for Deputy President William Ruto.

“If supporting you to be re-elected for the second time is the mistake that I did, I want you Mr. President to find a place in your heart and forgive me.”

“If supporting William Ruto could be the cause, I better be told.”

“Supporting Ruto is not a matter of life and death but I need to find my peace,” Echesa said.

This comes only a few days after the former Sports CS spent the weekend in police custody after he was arrested in connection with the Matungu killings.

Friday May 24, 2019 -The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) raided Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu’s homes and offices on Thursday and found evidence linking him to the missing Sh588 million from the County. 

The combative Governor is accused of awarding tenders to companies associated with him and his immediate family members through which millions were siphoned from public coffers.

 According to one EACC official, the detectives found a lot of evidence linking the Governor to the misappropriation of sh 558 million.

In one of Waititu’s safes, detectives found 30 title deeds that indicated that he had recently purchased huge tracts of land in Kiambu and Nairobi Counties.

The detectives also found that Waititu had purchased a multi-billion property including the five-storey Delta Hotel along University Way and is constructing Jamii Bora Building on Koinange Street.

Sleuths also found that the Governor’s daughter, Monica Njeri, a doctor at Kenyatta National Hospital, was operating a bank account with Sh 100 million stashed in it.

 The money was wired from one of Kiambu County Government’s accounts.

 Waititu was arrested and later released on a Sh 500,000 anticipatory bail

Friday, 24 May 2019 - As Kenyans continue to protest the 30-year jail sentence given to a woman found in possession of bhang whose street value is estimated to be around 2,000/, it has emerged that the girlfriend of one of the NACADA board members is a serious smoker of Marijuana.

This has come to the light after comedian Kevin Muasya, alias Chipukeezy, who is a NACADA board member, took to social media to comment on the 30-year sentence handed to the lady.

Taking to Instagram, Chipukeezy commented on a post by Larry Asego who criticised the ruling and called for the decriminalization of bhang!

Chipukeezy wrote:

“This is what Larry Asego thinks we should do..what do you think ? Ebu tell me what you think?!lets talk..i’m listening

Friday May 24, 2019- Jubilee nominated Senator, Isaac Mwaura, has claimed that Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu holds a degree in corruption barely hours after the County boss was arrested over graft allegations.

According to Mwaura, the raid at Waititu's homes in Bellcrest Garden Estate on Githunguri Road and Runda and his subsequent arrest was evident that the County boss is not a learned person.

Venting on social media on Friday, Mwaura sensationally claimed that Waititu had deposited stolen public funds into his daughter's account.

This was after reports indicated his daughter's house was among those raided by the EACC detectives who carted away files and records relating to contracts issued by his administration.

"You can use corruption money to buy a degree but not education," said Mwaura.

"Going to school though will give you the knowledge that depositing stolen public funds in your daughter's account is a no brainer," he added.

Friday May 24, 2019 - Embattled Kiambu Governor, Ferdinand Waititu, has for the first time spoken over claims that he used some of his family members to loot Sh 558 million from the Kiambu County Government.

Addressing journalists on Thursday after spending six hours at the Ethic and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) offices, Waititu said all Kenyans are free to do businesses with Kiambu Government including his family members.

“I want to state clearly that any Kenyan has a right to do business with the County Government of Kiambu so long as he or she is qualified," Waititu said.

EACC CEO, Twalib Mbarak,revealed that the authority was investigating allegations of irregular tenders valued at Ksh 588 million that had been awarded to members of Waititu's immediate family.

"Preliminary investigations show that contractors paid monies to senior County officials, their companies or relatives through proxies," part of the statement by the EACC boss stated.

On Thursday, EACC detectives raided two of the Governor's homes.

The detectives searched his houses in Runda and Garden Estate for documents that will assist in the inquiry about corruption in Kiambu County Government. 

15 other County officials are also targeted in the ongoing investigations.

Waititu’s daughter, Monica Ndungu, is among the chief suspects in the scandal that has shocked even President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Friday May 24, 2019 - One of Kenya’s corporate leaders takes home Sh 31 million, thanks to poor Kenyans who have saved money in Cooperative Bank.

Cooperative Bank Chief Executive Officer, Gideon Muriuki, takes home Sh 31 million monthly due to huge bonuses he receives as CEO.

According to a wealth report published by a local daily, Muriuki trounced all the CEOs of companies listed in the Nairobi Stock Exchange with his Sh376.4 million annual pay.

The increase was largely attributed to his basic salary that rose by Sh5.6 million to stand at Sh105.4 million.

His bonuses of Sh271 million largely remained the same. 

Muriuki's earnings were ahead of that of KCB CEO, Joshua Oigara, who also got a 6.6 percent pay rise in 2018 to Sh273 million.

Oigara earns Sh 22.75 million per month.

Oigara and Muriuki earn good money but they have done nothing to help their villages where they were born.

They are just useless corporate leaders who always drive big cars and attend lunch and dinners at high end hotels in Nairobi with pretty girls.

These CEOs have no legacy to leave like Award Winning Teacher, Peter Tambichi.

Tambichi, who won this year’s World Best Teacher’s award, shared Sh 100 million from his reward with poor students from Keriko Mixed Day Secondary School in Njoro
